Lusso Didcot — Restaurant in South Oxfordshire

We've been to Lusso Didcot a few times, mainly for their tasty pizza and a generally pleasant dining experience. The pizza is consistently fantastic, with rich flavors and a perfectly crisp crust that keeps us coming back. However, the ice cream service has been a bit disappointing. Despite the quality of the ice cream, there's an issue with how it's served. The staff, particularly the lady scooping from the less attractive side, seems more concerned about the visual appeal of the display rather than ensuring fair scoops. What bothered me was that she wasn't touching the ice cream, almost treating it like scrap. It bothered me even more when I realized this was going to my daughter, and I felt that she wasn't getting the good part of the ice cream. This small but significant problem has made us reconsider our visits, even though the pizza is still a draw. It's a shame that a more consistent approach to customer service, even in the little details, could significantly improve the overall experience at...

We are giving you 3 stars because there were two different visits and totally opposite experiences. The first time I popped in for Sunday dinner It was back in November the staff was amazing,, so was the food that I was back the same evening ❤️ and the experience was so good I decided to take my family there for lunch just after Christmas in the festive period …Oh noooi! The staff were lovely and accommodating, but that was as far as it goes the food was awful and almost every meal was not enjoyed. My husbands Caesar salad was probably the worst of all, dry cold tasteless chicken, no Parmesan shavings and wet lettuce that softened the croutons. Buffalo mozzarella was served with cold cherry tomatoes totally bland …pizza lacking toppings … we will be back as it is 50/50 experience hopefully we can leave then 5...

I am gluten and dairy intolerant and after my diagnosis 2 years ago, it has been hard to eat out without compromising. I am glad I mistakenly discovered Lusso. I was on a shopping spree with a friend(window shopping of course:) ), we decided to have a meal with her son and I was amazed with the service and the options they have even for kids. I had made up my mind to compromise on dairy (not include cheese in my pizza) but I was amazed when they said that they have dairy-free mozzarella. The pizza was so delicious, yumcious and the dough? so fresh.. I definitely recommend. You won't be disappointed. Apparently the waiter/waitress are all owners and they are very patient, helpful, kind, fast, polite and always kept their eyes on every table, that it was too hard to resist...
