Double check your bill! They add in orders and gaslight you when you point it out. The chef is clearly talented but everyone else needs to have their eyes tested or go to accountancy school. Lunchtime meal with grandmother and wife; they said two people got three course set menu when only one had. Side dishes we didn’t order turned up and then we got charged for them. We assumed the vegetable bowl came with the main course otherwise we would have said something immediately. A drink got added we definitely never ordered. In summary: they added two extra sides, an extra drink and an extra course to our meal and charged 12.5% onto this inflated bill. They then gaslight my grandmother who questioned the bill at the bar and was shaken up about it. “If you still think it’s wrong tomorrow come back and I’ll refund you”. Yes, a 94 year old can just swan in and out of town to argue over bills. Congrats fellas. We’ll...

I have delayed saying anything about this place coz I DON'T want to book only to find that the likes of you have nicked my table. If I could, the rating for Villa Marina would be 10 stars not a mere 5. Nuff said. I could not believe my eyes when all my scallops had their CORAL!!!!!! It has been years and half centuries since I have seen those, my dear. My fellow diner, in the know, told me it's because of the Americans and some completely idiotic idea that if you throw back the coral it replenishes the stock. Utter you know whats! I have been going to Henley Royal Regatta for 50 odd years and never dined in the centre of town because of the crowds. I can only weep at the missed opportunities of eating at Villa Marina! That is about to change dramatically- if Fabio ( the owner?) would...

Beautiful little Italian restaurant alongside the River Thames. Delicious food. You get quality not quantity so the portions are quite small.

Authentic Italian restaurant. The manager is Italian so you can speak Italian to them and they will answer in Italian.

The menu is quite small when it comes to options but the food is absolutely delicious. I recommend getting a main and to always order a side or two.

They will let you taste the wine first after they open the bottle in front of you.

The food is adequately priced for the cuisine. However, remember that you will get quality but not a big quantity.

Parking is available on the side of the restaurant across the road but be quick as there are only a few spaces available (3 car spaces).

I would definitely visit again when I'm...

Villa Marina is a traditional Italian restaurant overlooking the river. The food was ace, seafood spaghetti to start, prawns were perfectly cooked, squid was a bit over, overall very nice. Main was the special lamb, rare and was cooked correctly, rich gravy and nicely complimented the meat, was not disappointed, accompanied by a selection of veg for the table. Tiramisu, one of the best I’ve tasted in a long time - highly recommend! Service was definitely worth the charge, service was attentive, also was given a finger bowl for my main after staff saw I picking the lamb off the bones, extra credit for that. Reasonably priced. Parking is an issue due to location, there are a few spaces on the road, or a car park 7 mins walk away (free after 7pm)

The staff are very polite and helpful. I had multiple waiters wait on my table at the same time, making me feel like a valid customer, and providing a luxurious experience. The seating was a little cramped and the brightness outside compared to the darker atmosphere inside did bounce off the mirrored walls, sometimes making you feel uncomfortable (which obviously depends on where you are sat, the weather and time of day). The food portions I thought were a little small but the set price of the three course meal was great and made the decision and payment simple. Furthermore, the quality of the food was delicious and the dessert trolley was nostalgic. Overall, very pleasant.

Absolutely fantastic staff 5 stars for service. Food was good for the price... four of us had a starter, main, desert and shared a bottle of white along with a couple of beers and a jd&coke for £280 which seemed a bit much considering the starters were £10 each and were just a small prawn salad... They added a £35 service charge without asking... be wary of that, we usually tip but didn't as they charged for it on the bill. We had fruit flies buzzing around us too which was a tad annoying. However you're definitely paying more for the service here than the plates... it was a nice enough place to eat. Try it.
