Clarkes Butty Bar — Restaurant in South Ribble

Wow, WATCH THE STEP, but once you're inside it's a butty bar of magnificent traditional proportions. You could not get a better traditional bacon/egg/beans/sausage/black pud/mushroom big barm (or little barm) (both massive) anywhere. Fresshly fried, carefully squished sauce, and if you don't want the bread carbs you can put it all in a box instead.

No frills (except on the pinnies) just three hard working ladies pandering to your butty needs in a very wholesome and traditional way. Loved it and the cup of tea was just great. No wonder it's often packed.

Have used before and quality was just ok, sausages were on the lower quality side but the bread and fried eggs were good. Recently tried to order in person on a weekend, spent 15 minutes queuing while the staff took phone orders, when reaching the front of the queue I was told there would be a 20 minute wait due to orders taken over the phone. Better off phoning up even if you are outside to make sure you get served in a reasonable time on a weekend! Personally I’d serve customers that were in front of me before taking phone orders if you have limited staff but I guess profit comes...

Went here today on a recommendation and was really disappointed. I ordered a bacon, sausage and egg baton and a chicken sandwich on white bread and it came to £13.15? The breakfast sandwich was £4.80 on the board so that would make the chicken sandwich £8.35, Seems expensive, not sure if I was overcharged.
