McDonald's — Restaurant in South Ribble

I drive here sometimes to say, test my satnav, or drive for fun. Since the lockdown, and its reopening, I have only been there a few times. The place is again popular and so crowded. Where it's situated by the cinema and big shopping area, that plenty of parking is available. You can order and pickup foods without leaving your vehicle. I have discovered that the ordering is via a touchscreen, portrait orientated big monitors and by a bank card. It's easy to order foods with this method. Just select your desired foods and pay with visa or equivalent. The toilet's are clean. I eat my meal outside on the benches. I have noticed coppers and ambulance staff can stop here and buy foods too. This could be as it's easy to park here. The foods are a nice now and again treat. According to my current diet book, 'the G. I. Diet', by Gallop, published by virgin, for the great price of around £17 from amazon.co.uk, is that the long-term, regular consumption of these foods is not physically healthy...

What a horrible McDonald's! 8pm we called in here for a cuppa because a friend had to update their phone and had to do it via WiFi. This 'cafe' has just had a refurb but they've turned it into a clinical, sterile dropout centre. No counter, just a big hatch that occasionally a staff member appears in. Can't see into the kitchen. Teenage boys going around customers asking if they can have their monopoly tickets or going around the tables with left wrappers seeing if they can find the tickets there. One cleaner turning here eyes away just getting on with her job (I don't blame her). Even in the drive through you can't see into the kitchen ... what are they hiding? Ordered a cup of tea, staff member brought it to the table, no milk, no sugar 🤷 and in the end it was rancid anyway. Maccys showing their true colours. Stopped eating their 'food' a long time ago but had occasional coffees ......

You order from home or in the carpark choose what you want, offers are sent regularly, order and pay in advance -dont forget to use the discount codes- quote the code sent to you at the drive thru and collect at the window or go inside, simple and quick. Very fast drive thru service here even tho very busy. Order at 2 points on entry just quote your app reference. Drive to the 1st window to pay or just confirm app order, 2nd window to collect your meal. If it's a special/big order you wait at the bays just further on and the staff will bring the order to you. You can pay cash or card here. The protection for the staff at the windows is so much better for them now, just enough space for paying/the meal to be passed thru. Ask for sauces/sugar if you want them at the meal delivery window. Staff work hard treat...
