The foods good, the staff and their ethics... complete opposite.
They’ll rip you off unwittingly then act like it was your mistake then refuse to acknowledge let alone refund you. I owned a restaurant and you do NOT treat a customer like this. EVER. Absolutely abysmal.
Beware if using the ‘eat out’ scheme also. There’s no signage/info regarding terms with this manager giving conflicting information (meals are ineligible but singular items eligible).
They’ll deceivingly charge you full price for the wrong item because you ‘opted out’ the discount during ordering even though started the order stating you want to use the scheme, then refuse to refund you when in the wrong, even after another staff member VISIBLY remonstrated with this excuse of a ‘boss’ at the till that it was an error. Then proceed to ignore you after raising it, and have the audacity to gaslight you in rebuttal.
In this case they’ve cheated the customer and the government since they’ll claim my receipt for a rebate.
Otherwise, the foods genuinely great - it’s not a place worth paying hard earned money for if that’s the stance you want take when dealing with customer issues.
Ps. Had few friends who have worked here and staffing wise have heard some very bad stories, so I’m not surprised if this is manner that they took, I’m just a casual diner in and out for good food but wow, really had to type out...

(132 High St, Southampton SO14 2BR ) on 16/02/2018 in between 17:45-17:54pm, ..................................................................I was eating my meal when I came across a hair in my food, when I shown the meal to your employees and the "Manager " AJ... so he said ... AJ takes my meal , then continued to work , not giving me a answer or outcome about my meal ... after I waited for 5mins still at the till for a answer??, I when asked what's happening ? as it was a put off . He then claims it to be the garlic in the sauce and pointed at a hairless boy and said it's not possible for a hair to go in which I knew he was lying .. and he making excuses (bearing in mind he had a beard ) ... so I asked "AJ" to prove it and bring back the plate , but no.. he threw it away ?? ... then only would offer a fresh meal, but as it made me feel sick there and then I asked for a voucher or refund for next time ... he rejected them because the boss wasn't in, continuing to make stuff up and said he didn't know when he would be in ... and you ment to be a Manager? .................Later I find out his names "Shavea"? /(Sha-ve-a) ? .. The worst customer service I've ever had . .. shame on you Shavea ! Go put a beard net on ...

I went to so many roosters piri piri and always had big quality pieces of whole chicken platter and was very tasty in LONDON. But this Roosters Piri Piri whole chicken was so disgustingly made and rice didnt look nice. it did not taste nice at all and gave me a really bad Bellyache!! The glass was dirty in which the orange juice was in. The presentation was really rubbish. I AM A ROOSTERS PIRI PIRI FAN but this high street Roosters piri in SOUTHAMPTON (your one) was rubbish.
