Miss Pita — Restaurant in Southampton

As a Greek I approve this restaurant and I highly recommend it!!! I went yesterday with friends to dine in, I didn't know the existence of this place before, and the first impression was the warmth and coziness of the restaurant itself. Also the boss his name is Ermal very welcoming, polite and professional lad showing to me what real Greek hospitality should always be and experienced by the customers who want to eat Greek delicacies. I must confess, before visiting Miss Pitta, I wasn't attracted to go to eat in a Greek restaurant in the UK as my standards regarding Greek food are very high and wouldn't like to experience disappointment based on quality, quantity and value for money. But yesterday I was pleasantly surprised by what I saw and I'll put it with this phrase: "A Greek taverna in the standards of the best Greek tavernas in Greece now in Southampton!!!" Where to start and where to finish!!! Quality top, quantity top, value for money top, variety top, they had Greek magirefta fagita we call them like pastitsio, moussaka, I've ordered fasolada which is our national Greek soup and he made it spot on, customer service top, warm environment top, I could go on and on, go and visit yourself to find out 😊. A great greek place blessing Southampton at last! Very tasty, clean and high-quality food (quality's better than some places I've eaten at in Greece). Authentic gyros for anyone interested. Good portions - if I get starters (ehem, I always do), I struggle to finish the wrap. Great value for money.

Must tries: garlic pitta bread, tirokafteri (!!!), chicken gyros, moussaka, halloumi wrap with mayo sauce rather than tzatziki. Couple them with: greek lager, available in store! The staff is super friendly, and Bonus: they always bring a little shot of tsipouro or raki after the meal. Fantastic hospitality!

A small suggestion: I'd love to see the buyurdi dish (which absolutely bangs!) paired with a few slices of white loaf bread.

Where do I start, so we came here last year for an pre-anniversary meal and had a great time, food was amazing, I’ve been to Zante before and it was just like the food they have out there.

Fast forward to tonight, just over a year later and trust me things aren’t the same..

THEYRE FAR BETTER!

We had an amazing dinner this evening, I had the main meal chicken and my wife had the gyros wrap with a side of halloumi. (£6+ for halloumi seemed a little steep at first but after having it, it was like 3 strips of heaven 🤤).

I will 10000% be coming back here, the waiters (ermal in particular) are absolutely brilliant, they’re caring and polite and smile! They must like working here which is a rarity these days!!

10/10 Would highly recommend...
