The service from the restaurant was absolutely abysmal. We ordered our food at 20:05, the delivery was expected at 21:05. At 21:18 we made a call to the restaurant to see where our food was. They said that it was on its way and would be with us in 5-6 minutes - what they failed to comprehend was the fact that we could hear the manager in the background say that the food was still at the restaurant and to tell us that it would take that long (news flash it takes longer to get from portswood to our house so we already knew it was going to take longer). We told them we could hear them speaking and then we confirmed that the delivery driver was still stood in the restaurant. We then said that because it hadn’t left the restaurant they could put a bottle of coke in with it as a gesture of good will- the person on the end of the phone said they’d make sure that happened. Needless to say 15 minutes later we were still waiting. And to add insult to injury the app said that our food was ‘delivered’, someone had clearly just clicked it off their screen so it wouldn’t affect their targets! Another 10minutes the food finally arrives, no bottle of coke, one measly burger (couldn’t even choose to put cheese on it and it looked like it had done 10 rounds with Mike Tyson) the garlic bread was chewy, chips were cold and after a conversation with the manager we will not be using them again. Read moremy boyfriend and i always order from portswood piri piri as its cheap and the food is good. however today was a disaster. we ordered at 15:25 and got our food 2 HOURS LATER. we called after a hour to ask where it was as its usually very quick. we were told the food was ready and they were waiting for a delivery driver. we called 35 minutes later to lots of non-answered calls and eventually to be told it was on the way, a few minutes away. we called again 20 minutes later to be told the same thing. we explained we’d waited 2 hours, if it was correct on the first call our food had been ready nearly a hour and would be cold and after the second call we should have our food by now after we had waited another 20 minutes. the man on the phone was extremely rude and didn’t listen. we asked for our money back as waiting 2 hours and being lied to about where our food was and how long it would be was disgusting. he then went and talked to someone else in the background where i could hear them laughing. he kept saying ‘the food will be a few minutes’ ignoring all the points we made. the food eventually arrived (2 hours and 3 minutes after the order was placed) whilst on the phone to the restaurant. i told him the food had arrived but was cold and we still wanted a refund. the man kept saying ‘it will be with you soon’ despite me repeating it was there and he wasn’t listening. i explained i’d ask for a refund through my bank and write this review as the man was clearly useless and ignoring my request for...
Read moreI have an allergy to mayonnaise which makes me extremely sick, I ordered through the website and put on a note that there can not be any mayo on anything as I have an allergy ( which I thought would be enough) After my food had arrived I decided to leave my wrap until last because it is my favourite bit but when I took a bite out of it the was a big clump of mayonnaise in the top , a few minutes later ( after the only one bite) I was sick which I knew would happen which is why I specified it on the notes I then called the shop and said about it and I was told apparently the person making it did not read the note and I requested a refund. To which the man said I could only have the wrap refunded every though everything that I ate is no longer in my system and he said that I can’t prove anything.
