Tonys Cafe — Restaurant in Southampton

I wouldn't recommend coming to this cafe, I had a very bad experience here with the lack of customer service and the poor standard of food. I came to this cafe with my sister to get a nice lunch, I ordered a steak and kidney pie which costed £3.45 which I thought I would be getting a home cooked pie. Turned out to be a microwaved cheap pie That was very soggie and curdled inside. This was then confirmed by the owner that it was a £1.00 pie and didnt want to spend too much on pies.My sister ordered a mushroom burger at the similar price and it came out greasy and tasted like plastic. Had a side of chips too as soon as you bite into them your mouth is full of oil.

We then Nicely called the waiter apologising for our complaints and she said she was going to call someone higher (chef/owner) we explained everything and told him we are not trying to offend him. We asked for our money back as we had only taken a bite. He refused, he said he will not open the till. I then explained that the pie had curdled he picked up my folk and prodded my food...... He then turned away and started to talk about me and my sister and what had happened to his colleagues while they are all making us feel uncomfortable and unwelcome. They then started to laugh at us...... I wouldn't recommend...

Thought I would take my nephew in for a little treat. The customer service was poor, could see had a little one and don't even come to the table for your order. They were moping the floor and I didn't see one wet floor sign. Then to top it off, the seats were not safe. My nephew doesn't like to sit in a highchair, but I thought I would give it a go. He didn't want to eat his food because he was in the highchair, I got off the bench to get him out of the highchair and put him on the seat next to me, which is something I've done in many places before. I sat back down and the bench moved and the all of a sudden the legs just broke. I go to put my arm in front of my nephew to make sure he didn't fall. I was shaking, someone came over and said "what happened" too which I explained. To then get a rude response with just sit finish food. Do you honestly think I want to sit on another one of your benches. No sorry or nothing. Not impressed won't be setting foot in that...

I visited on Wednesday on holiday to Southampton and it was One of the best breakfasts I have had in a while. Food was amazing. I highly recommend the mega breakfast. Staff were very welcoming friendly and helpful. The boy who took my order at the til was very fast and good and was observed at all times by his coworker who did a fantastic work with my cappuccino which came out looking very artistic and clean. Staff clearly experienced and chef clearly has alot of experience to be able to produce one of the best breakfasts I've had in a while. Ladies and gentlemen if your looking for a nice breakfast, this is the place for it and to top it all off it is super cheap and one of the best. Will be most definitely visiting very soon before I leave Southampton in a...
