Dippies Chippy — Local services in Southampton

I was visiting a relative in Mountbatten hospice in Fair Oak, Southampton from Lancashire. Our relatives called Dippies Chippy in the hope we could get food delivered. We had fish and chips, and chicken nuggets and chips for the children. The nuggets were much better quality than chip shops usually serve. And my fussy child ate them all. The fish was excellent. Ordinarily, I can't eat fried fish without tartare sauce because I need something to cut through the grease. But, this fish wasn't greasy at all. it was fresh and perfectly cooked with beautiful crispy batter. The driver also delivered the order right to the door of the room we were in and not only did a contactless handover, but also gave us the meal 'gratis' to ease our situation. Server looked like it was an inconvenience to take my order and payment I probably should have just left from the vibe that was throwing off, but I decided to give it a go ordered two large battered sausages and large fishcake after a while waiting I looked thru to the kitchen and saw baskets of chips suspended for reheating 😳, out comes my food and it’s wrapped before I got to see it I hop in work van and go back to site by the time I’ve got back the chip wrapper had gone see thru, after opening the wrapper I see there’s enough oil inside to cause the USA to invade with a puddle in the middle the fat is either old or very cheap as it smelled and tasted rank I threw whole dinner in the bin £6.60...

Visited Saturday 18 October, lunchtime..
