A great new local to be proud of! Friendly and welcoming staff who are well trained and make you feel like a great friend as soon as you walk through the door. Fabulous sympathetic decor to a beautiful old pub including a log burning stove. We dined in the restaurant on a Friday night enjoying live music from this fantastic Rob Plant whilst polishing off one too many bottles of the Romanian Pinot Noir. The pork scratchings are possibly the best i've ever had, the starter special hoi sin scotch eggs were to die for and the pork chop was phenomenal. Great food menu which changes daily. Nice unfussy wine selection and the beers seem to change every few weeks too. The presentation of the pizzas is quite basic but they are fresh and tasty. Something to work on perhaps.

   Read moreWe were lucky enough to find a decent place for a life celebration function for 30 people, the service by Connor, Ashley & Bethany was brilliant! apart from one minor mistake everything went incredibly well. very reasonable price wise also, the communication was excellent especially by Ashley, and a big shout out to Bethany for all her little extras and ideas. Highly recommended this pub/restaurant, it is clean especially the toilet which is a big plus, it has a lovely atmosphere and big refurbished garden 🪴 great beer. Cheap icelandesque , out of a bag food at a smidge under the price of their previous menu/chef which were really good.
