Oh dear. I asked for a decaf, oat milk, mocha. I forgot to ask for it iced but the lady serving me said she’d change it for me. I waited my turn and saw them use cows milk and then the lady making it whisper to the lady that served me. When it was given to me I had to ask whether it was cows milk which she agreed it was, I said if asked for oat milk (due to an allergy). It was remade and once I sat down with my daughter realised they’d mixed it while cold (without dissolving the power first then adding ice and cold milk). You could still see powder at the bottom of the cup and taste the gritty powder. I went back inside and asked who was in charge today, the lady who served me said she was. I told her as above, I was first given cows milk and the second mocha was so gritty and I dissolved I couldn’t drink it. She told me that’s how it was meant to be. I had to stop her there & say mochas were not meant to be gritty & I’d like my money back. She agreed to this. I sat back outside so my daughter could finish her crisps and another woman who worked there was clearing a table was so miserable complaining of the mess other people had left saying “they have no respect. I would never let my children do this… when I have them”. Granted, it’s disrespectful to leave such mess but professional? No. More of a chat to be had in the kitchen. I was fed up at this point and decided my daughter could finish her crisps in her pram instead and walked to my car. Wouldn’t spend a penny in...
Read moreI visited the Inn due to the good reviews but I have a feeling that, as usual, these were just written by friends of the owner! Or maybe I just got them on a bad day. Firstly the ambiance; I visited with my hubby on a weekday afternoon, and they were playing dance music really loud. I'm in my 20's so I like a bit of rave music on a Saturday night but I don't want to here about bi##hes and ho's over lunch especially when there's kids around. Next was the food; my other half had the club sandwich and I had a ploughmans. Not much to mess up you may think! But they were no better then if we had got them in a dodgy petrol station. They weren't cheap but had been made with cheap ingredients and only slithers of cheese and the thinnest slices of apple (only 2) that I've ever seen. And they did the thing I hate most, plonk all the ingredients into the centre of the sandwich so that you have to open it up and redistribute its content. Disappointed to say the least! It's a shame because the place has potential. I'll go back in a few months to see if my experience...
Read moreWe went for lunch today and to be honest we weren't impressed at all! I had a burger and added bacon so came to around £12.00 and the bacon seemed like it was cooked alot earlier but i ate it anyway as it took a while to arrive so I was very hungry. The food not only took a long time but I had nearly finished my food before my partners dinner arrived. My partner had a cafe toasted club sandwich which implies that is was indead a toasted sandwich rather than cold, dry toast with cold, uncooked fillings. We questioned the waiter about the cold, dry sandwich and he returned saying it was "suposed to be cold". We asked if it could be put under the grill just to warm it through a bit and he returned saying the kitchen refused to warm it as they were too busy... We asked if it could be made with bread rather than cold toast and this request was ignored so my partner picked out some of the more edible fillings and we left very disatisfied. Well they may not be so busy in the future if they treat their...
