Losh Bar & Grill — Restaurant in St Albans

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Losh, and it was an experience worth sharing. From the moment I stepped inside, the warm ambiance and stylish decor set the tone for what turned out to be an excellent evening.

The menu at Losh is thoughtfully curated, offering a creative blend of flavors that highlight fresh, high-quality ingredients. I tried their signature dish (which came highly recommended by the server), and it absolutely lived up to the hype—perfectly seasoned, beautifully plated, and incredibly satisfying. Lovely venue looks beautiful. There was a live singer which would have been nice but was too loud to actually enjoy the meal (feel so old saying that) and the conversation. The octopus was nice severed with about 10 potatoes which was a bit much should have eaten all of them as my main which was meant to be with rice, the rice didn’t rock up. However seeing the rice on my friends plate it looked completely bland anyways so I didn’t ask for it. The garlic prawns were awful over cooked, drowned in dill all I could taste was dill there was garlic in the dish but the garlic looked uncooked and I could not taste any garlic. It was a large portion which would have been great if it tasted good. Came with a side of onions but that could have been for the lamb. The onions while an odd side were tasty. My friend didn’t finish her cocktail which must have been pretty bad for that to happen! Service was ok perhaps a little inattentive a bit meh. This place is just WOW, where do I start. The outside looks stunning and has definately lit up Station road in Harpenden, looks like a restaurant you would find beside harrods. I loved the decor inside and has a vibrant feel to it. There are tables for couple and round table booths for groups. The staff were very welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. My partner ordered a variety of cocktails and all were delicious, the lady at the bar knows exactly what she was doing. The food is to die for, you can tell they use good quality meat. The lamb shish literally melts on your tounge (it is that soft). The chicken shish are nice size chunks and moist inside. The meze’s are fresh and full of flavour.
