Nonno's is a no no. Hard to describe my disappointment. Ordered a late lasagne as it was too late to cook. Ordered at 20:40 and was somewhat surprised when it arrived at 20:55. I live 5 minutes drive from Nonno's, so I estimate from receiving the online order to sending out the food from the restaurant had taken 10 minutes. This included calamari, pizza and spaghetti bolognese as well. It wasn't until I peeled back the lid and caught the waft of what I can only describe as dead man's vomit that I realised all was not well. A visual assessment revealed mysterious green splodges, mouldy cheese perhaps? At first I questioned my own judgement, so I attempted to taste a small fork full. Upon realising that it was also cold, I decided to re-heat it in a microwave. Big mistake, the weird smell intensified and infused the whole apartment with a vaguely vomitty aroma. Even bigger mistake, despite all the evidence to the contrary I decided it must just be a particularly ripe cheese. I managed four mouthfuls before realising it was neither palatable or edible. I started to feel a wave of nausea washing over me. I asked a family member what they thought, although they were already wondering where the weird smell was coming from. She confirmed my worst suspicions. I spent the rest of my evening trying to get rid of the vile fetid stench from my mouth. For my troubles, I spent the following morning with a really bad stomach ache and the runs. In fairness to them, all the other food seemed to be okay. They gave us a refund for the lasagne, in fact they didn't seem to be at all surprised, but needless to say I won't be...
Read moreSo so disappointed with the service here ! Me and a friend visited Nonnos Pizza last week and I have never been so disappointed. I have visited several times before as they are very close to me and I have had other problems in the past but nothing this bad before. So, we go in and get seated, the waiter (I didn’t get his name) brings over a jug of water. We’ve been sat there a while with our water when the waiter pokes his head through the door and starts shouting my name and asking if we’re ready to order, I thought this was very unprofessional and I didn’t see why he couldn’t have come up to the table to ask this. He takes our order without writing anything down, from then I knew something was going to go wrong. My friend receives her food and I’m still waiting on mine for a while. It arrives and my garlic cheese bread is missing garlic, so I tell the waiter and he offers me a garlic dip! I said no and that I would like another garlic cheese bread but with garlic this time, he said ok and that he’ll bring one out shortly. Then the waiter brings another plate out and the same thing again, no garlic. I was fed up by this point so just asked for the bill. The bill comes and we pay. Then he brings over a plate with a tiramisu and some shots on. He puts it down and I say we didn’t order this, he said it’s on the house. Then after that he asks if we’re both 18! (which we are) Surely you would ask that before you serve customers alcohol! If the food was correct it would have been lovely I’m sure, but the waiter was absolutely awful, have never been so disappointed with service like...

I tried calling the restaurant for an update but no answer. I ended up calling the restaurant 15 times but no answer at all. Around 3.30am I decided to go to bed, still nothing. The next morning I woke up and the deliveroo app said it had been delivered at 3.10am. I thought, no one rang the door bell or knocked (I live in a flat) but I thought maybe they left it outside my front door however there was nothing. I liaised with Deliveroo who eventually told me there was nothing they could do as the restaurant said they had delivered & that I should contact the restaurant. Sat 7th, I called the restaurant and spoke to Garcin who at first said they delivered and then offered me a voucher for half the price. I said I would like the full refund of £33 as I did not receive the order. He advised he would speak to Deliveroo finance and call me back on the Monday. I heard nothing back. I tried calling multiple times times throughout the week but was told Garcin was not available or that he would call me back- still nothing. In the end I had no choice but to go through PayPal who refunded me. It's a real shame as I have been told the pizza is nice but after the customer service or lack of, I have experienced I wouldn't spend a penny here and would urge others to re-consider - especially if ordering via an app. I hope Nonno's...
