Room For Dessert®️ — Restaurant in St Albans

My family and I have been twice now since we moved here and I promised the second time I'd take pics, but didn't. Enjoyed it too much! I know there's another dessert place in town but for me, this is the spot.

My kids and wife all had waffles (it's a huge portion) and comes with a side of ice cream/gelato. My advice, the bueno and all other branded ones are really sweet (kids will love it), but have vanilla ice cream with it. I have had sticky toffee pudding previously (amazing) and this time the exotic sundae. The sundae was perfect, Mango and Passion fruit, it was so warm that evening and it cooled me perfectly. Definitely a hot day dessert.

This place is ace, little tip, always ask for what's NOT on the menu, they normally have a couple of unlisted desserts. Please go give it a try, we'd hate to see a place like this go, I'm just sorry we didn't...

I'm guessing the people behind RFD are seeing this like a Creams Cafe and not a bad idea, given the amount of young people and families in and around St Alban's. But the service has GOT to be sorted out. We waited for around 45 minutes for two pancakes and changed the order to takeout rather than eat in, as we had to get home. When they eventually arrived and we left to eat them in the car, they hadn't given us any cutlery! Schoolboy error. A group of six lads in front of us must have been waiting for a hour plus for six milkshakes! Guys! As it was, the pancakes were pretty decent, the waffles I saw being prepared looked amazing and they've got a great selection of home made ice-cream. I wish the crew behind RFD all the best and hope they do well - but do have a good hard look at...

Very poor customer service. Placed an order via the app to eat on their table outside. Had to wait almost 45 minutes for the order to come even though the app said it would take less than 15mins. Delivery drivers were in and out - seems like they care more about delivery orders rather than customers in the store.

The desserts we ordered were okay; nothing you wouldn't find in other desset places. People come out for the experience - unfortunately this was lacking.

I had spoken to staff to raise a complaint - all they could do was apologise, with one saying 'we need to do better'. Yes you do!
