HI Alison, Please do not email us again. I believe you wanted a free parking and the member of staff refused you to park for free. Our car park is private and it's only for our customers. You were not a customer and wanted to park for free and which is not acceptable

HOW DARE YOU tell me not to email you.

You are not fit to be a manager and you are a LIAR!!! I have a disabled badge meaning i can park anywhere for free i explained to YOU i had smoke coming from my car whilst stuck in traffic outside your establishment and was awaiting rac breakdown to come and he would be there within an hour as Im disabled and am priority. My issue is with YOU and your disgusting attitude we were happy to eat at your establishment and when i explained to you i have medical condition and asked to see childs menu you firstly told me you dont have kids menu you repeatedly spoke over me as a customer and i asked you to please stop doing that it is height of bad manners and you are a manager and you then said you would not let me have it as i was an adult..i then again told you i have cancer and cant eat very much you then finally said i could have smaller portion!!! After your disgusting attitude towards us we did not want to eat in your establishment and my colleague checked outside and there are double yellow lines which i could park on FOR FREE i did NOT come for free parking you are a liar i just wanted to get the hell away from YOU and i took a chance of moving my car outside as thick smoke was coming from engine. You also proceeded to keep following us around demanding i pay the car park fee after we decided not to eat because of your disgusting attitude !!!!!!

I will be taking...

A cosy hotel restaurant behind a tiny pub style bar on the ground floor. Wood panel olde pub style decor with an open fireplace burning very smokey briquette 'logs' (not wood logs) - making for a noticeably overly smokey room. Was an OK atmosphere - a busy and noisy Friday evening. Service was awkward, with staff not knowing how to ask properly if we were ready to order, and mumbling when talking back the order. The food was very slow to come, when it did come the temperature was not as hot as it should be. Presentation of the main courses was OK, and all dishes were tasty. Rib-eye steak was good, especially with the peppercorn sauce. They are only 8 ounce steaks - two were ordered, with one being significantly thinner & larger than the other... therefore was slighlty overcooked. Fish and chips is the stand-out star. The same chips are served with the steaks - they are lovely and crispy while being fluffy inside. However, the only salad leaf to be seen on all dishes was a large pile of rocket! The house red was a South African one 'Primordial Soup' - it was an extremely light-bodied red (alcohol content of 13.5%)... too light-bodied for my taste. A 12.5% service charge is automatically added to the bill. I used a Taste card to get 50% off mains (only...

Booked our Mother's Day dinner here 2023. Instead of sitting in any of the restaurant rooms we were seated in front of the hotel reception..... We placed our order (trio of roast) all 3 of us with our drinks, mum's and my cider was flat and watered to high heaven. Though the menu said free Prosecco to every mum, we had to prompt the waitress to bring it to her. And then we waited, and waited and waited... A hole hour for our food. Halfway through the waitress offered free drinks for the inconvenience or writing off the ones we had already. We went with the later option. When the food arrived it was lukewarm. Potatoes inedible (like they have just been defrosted)... Meat was like offcuts... Not even a proper slice, Yorkshire's are soggy and greasy... Mine was pancake flat. Safe to say the worst roast we ever had in our life. When it came to settling the bill, though we paid a deposit to secure our table.... The whole bill was presented. Again, had to prompt the waitress to deduct the deposit... And they have blatantly added (without even asking) a 12.5% service charge to the bill.. Can't blame the business of MD, as people who came after us got their dinner (trio of roast) within 15 mins of arrival... My...

I had a wonderful experience at The Tudors restaurant at the White Hart hotel Restaurant! The steak was cooked to perfection and delicious but very thin slice . The service was great and the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming ,but at the end is a bit down , when the bill arrived, I was surprised to see all items listed, including those already covered by the Groupon voucher I had paid for online. They totaled everything and then added a 12.5% service charge on the full amount before voiding the voucher items. This resulted in a very high service charge, half the value of my voucher. I felt this was quite misleading. However, when the bill arrived, I was surprised to see all items listed, including those already covered by the Groupon voucher I had paid for online , this billing practice left me feeling disappointed and wary. I hope the restaurant can improve transparency in the future.

Convenient for an overnight stay while singing at the Abbey for the weekend. Just over the road from the Abbey, with parking included. Very large fish and chips for Saturday lunch. Later problems suggested that perhaps the fish wasn't quite cooked all through. Room was adequate. Had to choose between switching on heating and charging my phone, due to shortage of sockets. The two radiators warmed only the bottom inch or two, so could really have done with bleeding to make them more efficient. The bedroom one produced intermittent noises through the night. The desk and chair meant that sitting and viewing the TV was only possible from the side, so not a great angle. Because there was a shower, it meant that the basin was one of those small round table models. Have stayed there before; convenience was main reason for staying there again.
