Disappointed after years of regular visits
We visited Fort of India on Sunday 25th May and were really taken aback by the welcomeâor lack thereof. On arrival, we asked for a table for two and were met by the older gentleman who is usually front of house. Instead of a greeting, he just said âwhat?â in a blunt and unfriendly tone.
When we repeated our request, he rudely pointed to the couches and said âsit there.â Stunned, we asked againââpardon?ââonly for him to repeat the gesture in an even more dismissive and slightly aggressive way, as if we were misbehaving children or dogs.
It was an unnecessarily unpleasant interaction that made us feel very unwelcome. Weâre local to Newton and have visited Fort of India regularly over the years, but after this encounter weâll be taking our custom to Ehanâs insteadâwhere youâre always met with good manners and genuine...

"you sure you're in the right place" Was then sat next to freezing cold drafty window to notice the lady at the next table had kept her coat on Radiators were working but turned down Waiter that attended our table was wearing a scarf! Sat waiting for 40 minutes between starter and main Service was shocking Starter was nicely cooked which is the only thing I can positively comment on First time visit but won't be giving it a second go

Wifes chicken saag came with a bone in it..Asked for food baged up take home. Then asked for dessert as went for banquet. Dessert ,Came on plate. Asked for take away. Staff came over and being very rude.. saying we should of asked for dessert for take away..for a meal out .and staff be so rude. And get our order so worng.. what a big let down.
