Pepe's — Restaurant in Stafford

I’m giving Pepes a 2 for service because they are constantly changing their “rule” on if they deliver to my address or not. It’s been a constant struggle for almost a year now. One minute the delivery driver has no issue coming into my flat building and bringing the food to my door. Next minute I’m being told they’ll charge extra to come into the flat building and bring it to my door. Not once have I seen any option on any food ordering site that had this rule or extra charge include. It isn’t written on their website and as such with them constantly changing whether or not they’ll deliver to me is a pain as the food is actually delicious and worth the money but the service is in shambles. Clearly stating at payment this extra charge would stop the confusion. Or else deciding not to deliver to my address would help. Nowhere else that I have ordered from in Stafford has a problem with coming to my flat door so I don’t see the issue. But it is putting me off ordering...

I placed an order via Food Hub. After waiting over an hour and a half with the order status on "cooking", I contacted Food Hub to ask where my order was. They contacted the Takeaway. Food Hub told me the order had been ready for over an hour. I asked why the order status hadn't been changed, to which the given explanation was that it had been "too busy" for the takeaway to change the order status. I told them I didn't want food that had been sat there for over an hour, and at this point just wanted a refund. They got back in touch with the takeaway, who refused the refund request.

I then contacted the takeaway myself, and received the same explanation. The answer was the same. They wouldn't recook the order or refund the order. I was told it was unreasonable to expect the order status to be updated, and that I should know that it only takes 10-15 minutes to cook an order.

I moved from Wolverhampton to Stafford few months ago. All I missed coming to stafford was good food because there ain't any good Halal food here. But Pepe's is here!!🔥❤️ The food quality was really really good the staff was friendly and the shop is amazing. As a regular customer of Pepe's I noticed that the peri peri salt was quite less in all the fries and our grilled chicken had less sauce as well and it was not that hot and saucy. But considering it was their first day that's all right. The Chick n rice box tasted amazing😍🔥 But the chicken quantity was a bit less in the box. Looking forward to improvements.💯 I wish you guys best of luck for the future. Will order soon...
