I took my 86 yr old mother for coffee here visiting Cheadle and we had my little dog, Scruffy with us. There were no signs on the door saying 'no dogs'. We came in, sat openly in the window, ordered at the bar and 15 minutes later a Waitress came over and told us we were not allowed to stay because of the dog (quietly asleep under the table). We said we had already ordered and paid for our drinks, that there was no sign on the door and no one had said anything when we came in. We then had to wait for a refund before leaving. I suggested that they put a sign on the door saying that they didn't allow dogs, as that was the accepted thing to do and her response was 'we don't have to and there aren't any cafes in Cheadle that allow dogs so you should have understood that no sign means no dogs!' . Couple of minutes down the street we found a cafe that welcomed dogs and had a note on the door to say so. My dog is 12 years old and has to been into (or not allowed in) many cafes but we have never had this kind of treatment and response. Not a good...
Read moreI started coming to this caf just recently when I found out that they do latte with oat milk as I try to avoid dairy. I've been living in Cheadle for 9 years and never been Moshi customer as I am not a big fan of coffee. To my surprise there's quite a good variety of food served in the caf. I'm a fussy eater and always struggle to find healthy meals in Cheadle that's why I was very pleased to discover that I can buy delicious omelettes here. Be careful: they are BIG!😁👌🏼 Latte is wonderful ☕, good choice of cakes including gluten free options, green tea (another problem in Cheadle)! The members of the staff are friendly. The caf gets busy at certain times but you have to have a bit of patience 🙌🏼😇 as you won't be disappointed with the food. I highly recommend this'll place in the High Street of the town. Thank...
Read moreSecond time I have been here & the service was even worse this time. There were about 5 people in and the lady serving was doing coffee & chatting to a Customer. She did at least acknowledge me. After standing at the counter for over 5 minutes she finally took my order for a coffee and a cake. I was told she would bring it to me. As the cafe emptied I sat and waited. After nearly 20 mins and no one at the counter I tried to attract a waitress attention. Even though she saw me she carried on and stood about in the kitchen. I went to the counter & asked a trainee what had happened to my order. She sorted it for me in 1 minute. Apparently the lady who had taken my order had gone outside for a smoke !!! From my visit the only member of staff with anything about them service wise was the...
