I normally visit the drive-thru with mixed results but I do like the food when it's right and some of the king saver items are great. Staff often seem uninterested, miserable or just plain rude. And I've had whoppers with mayo or ketchup and missing most of the salad, and just lukewarm or cold burgers.
This time, I wanted to use the delivery as there was an offer for two for £12.99, ordered at 5.39PM on a Thursday. Two and a half hours later, the order still wasn't on the way when I finally managed to speak with someone to cancel. I spoke with the 'restaurant' around just under 2 hours into waiting and they let me know they had no order details of mine and there was nothing they could do (despite my order changing to preparing here and there via the app). I then spoke with Uber Eats who said it wasn't on them and told me to contact Burger King instead. I eventually found another Uber Eats line to call or whatever is on the email and they said it'd only be another 5-10 minutes, despite this being the 4th or maybe 5th driving going to 'collect' my order. Barely an apology and no offer of a voucher or anything. Awful experience - it's on me for going back despite the staff and inconsistent food, but a joke, nonetheless. I'll stick to Mcdonald's and other...
Read moreMy wife and I recently visited this Burger King branch, and while the food was passable, the overall experience left much to be desired.
The service felt indifferent at best—staff didn’t seem engaged or welcoming, which made for an uninviting atmosphere.
One particularly frustrating issue was the DIY drink dispensers. They had two of them, similar to what you’d find at Five Guys, but both only dispensed Coca-Cola. There was no clear signage to indicate this, which was frustrating—something as simple as a handwritten note would have saved us the hassle.
As for the food, my Whopper meal was disappointing. It lacked freshness and was far too dry. My wife’s Chicken Royale was "okay," but nothing special.
Another downside compared to other fast-food chains is the lack of a self-serve condiments station. Unlike most McDonald's locations, where you can grab ketchup, napkins, and other essentials yourself, here, everything extra comes at an added cost.
The atmosphere was also lacking—almost lifeless. Some background music would go a long way in making the space feel more inviting rather than dull and uninspiring.
Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this branch of Burger King. If you're in the area, you'd be better off heading to Nando’s across the...
Read moreI've been to this branch a couple of times and both times I've had to wait a while, but this last time really took the prize.
When we arrived there were 3 orders in front of us, one of which was already being served. We waited in line about 15 mins before being asked what we wanted.
There were no milkshakes or ice creams as the machine needed cleaning and no one had done it.
Whilst waiting I noticed the complete lack of urgency the staff seemed to display.
We finally received our order 30 mins after getting in the que .. there were only 3 orders!
We were eating out so took our food back to the car. That's when we noticed they'd missed out a whole burger. So we had to go back and tell them they've made a mistake.
I've been in slow branches before but this one takes the prize for the poorest experience yet. Seriously BK sort this branch out. While we were there a large group that followed in behind us but couldn't stand the wait so all walked out.
I won't be using this one in the future, there's plenty of other places around to eat and it's really not...
