I visited this store today to get a coffee. The waiting time was ridiculous. I ordered a cappuccino with coconut milk. I am severely allergic to dairy. The barista called Callum made and gave me my drink. I took one sip and instantly noticed it was made with dairy milk. Coconut milk has a distinctive taste and I was 100% certain it was not. I told him this and he said it is, I said it’s not! No apology just the look of annoyance as if I had put him out. I said discreetly as to not cause a scene, that I would like a refund, he said he will remake the drink, I said no but he continued to make it. I went to the till area and asked for a refund. Still no apology, just an annoyed looking cashier. Then callum under his breath said ‘it was coconut milk’. I find this disgustingly rude, and argumentative. Why would I lie? What benefit could I possibly gain by lying about this? He had no concern for my allergy and no acceptance that he may have made a mistake. He then began to become argumentative saying I didn’t do it on purpose. I didn’t ever think he had done it on purpose but it’s the way he dealt with the situation and the attitude that he displayed. He said do you want a coconut one even if it’s free? I declined the free drink, because my allergy is so severe I can’t risk drinking milk, the lack of care or concern in this branch made me too worried to drink anything from this store. The way he said that loudly infront of other customers was extremely embarrassing and it made it appear as if I was out to get a freebie. The man behind actually scoffed at me. I genuinely didn’t think I would need to worry like this at such a major chain like Starbucks. I explained to the cashier I have a severe allergy to dairy, no one once asked about my welfare, the cashier smacked the money in my hand without saying a word. I felt so embarrassed in front of other customers. I feel as though I was dealt with with complete arrogance. The customer care and service was so appalling that I don’t think I will ever visit a Starbucks store again. I simply cannot understand why in 2022, people working with food and drinks are not aware of dietary needs, it’s one of the most serious aspects...
Read moreWent there yesterday through the drive thru ordered a earl grey tea with hot milk and a double espresso. The Asian woman behind the counter made it with hot oat milk and the woman at the counter asked her to make it again. She made it with hot oat milk but from the looks and taste of it hardly any. Also I think she made a single espresso rather than a double. I thought I'd give it go today as I was in the area and I'd go inside instead for the same order - earl grey tea hot oat milk and double espresso. The woman at the till serving gets ten stars from me she even asked if my milk choice was a preference or allergy. I have never been asked that and she told me I should always be asked that (Starbucks give her a raise and credit for doing her job extremely well). She gave great customer service and it's very rare these days. Now....back to the order. An Asian woman made my tea (I don't know if it was the same lady from yesterday) I asked if the oat milk is hot. She said yes. I took the excessive foam off of the top of the tea and once again it was spot the milk. I asked for more hot oat milk and she huffed 🤔 I am a paying customer so any reasonable request I make should not be huffed at. Her customer service was terrible and thanks to her I would not give this Starbucks another chance. I would go into the town centre and try that...
Read moreI visited the starbucks drive thru today at 17:50. Quite frankly, I'm appauled at the behaviour of the female who works here. I have no idea what her name was, but she wore her hair in French plaits and was the one taking orders over the headset. When we got to the window, she didn't acknowledge me and rolled her eyes and sighed at a customer who was ordering quite a few drinks. There were quite a few cars waiting and it was clearly quite stressful. The girl took over from two guys who were preparing the frappe's and spoke to her colleagues like absolute rubbish. She was so rude to the poor guy and said, "im taking over the frappe's, urgh, just go and make those other drinks over there." Basically insinuating that he can not do his job. This is an absolutely appalling way to speak to anyone. Deliberately putting them down. If the poor guy requires further training because he was struggling, that is on management and fellow colleagues to either help, train, or raise the issue. There is absolutely no excuse for bullying, degrading, and patronising behaviour. I was handed my drink before I even paid for it. I told the lovely guy who gave me my drink that I hadn't paid yet, and he sorted it out. Had the girl acknowledged me and took payment, this wouldn't...
