Costa Coffee — Restaurant in Stevenage

Lovely, hard working staff who always stay friendly and positive despite constantly being significantly undermanned. Good quality coffee, good food range. Collection/app ordering frequently not available due to constant lack of manpower. Cafe ambience is awful, as the music cannot be heard, people chatter is horrific as everyone seems to yell at each other, the constant din of the blenders is horrible. Costa needs to invest in some sound proofing to make the cafe area bearable, and please invest in your payroll budgets and give these people the manpower support they need. Opening hours are limited, and a town as busy and 'open all hours' as it is, desperately needs to be open until around...

Updated 14 June 2023 Normal slow service even though there was 2 staff on the coffee machines and 1 on the till. Always a Queue outside, most times up to 6 waiting but peak can be up to 15. Winter times limited space inside, as it's packed. Inside. Floors dirty, toilets always smelly, tablets sticky. Outside really nears a refresh. Chairs and tables looking sub bleached and dirty. Outside walls are dirty. Path has lots of weeds. No outside cover, even with the increased heat and sunshine, it can be too hot to sit outside. Long term frequent customer, BUT now Costa allows DOGS into their cafes. This would be fine, but not where the owners allow the Dogs to put their paws up on chairs and tables, let them sit on the chairs & sofas, often dribbling on the surfaces. Or even worse allow them to walk up and disturb other customers. Plus having dogs barking or constantly whining doesn't make a nice atmosphere.
