A nice change from Costa and Starbucks. The atmosphere is light and airy as it’s on the ground floor of the shopping centre. There is a nice choice of different seating and unlike all the other coffee shops and cafes that just bundle in as many standard tables and chairs possible, Esquires has large comfy sofas and other soft seating. We ordered a couple hot drinks and the berry smoothie along with a scone. My wife enjoyed her berry smoothie and the flat whites I had were by far the best I’ve had in any shop I’ve been to this year. The staff are friendly and helpful and they didn’t mind us camping on the sofas for a few hours whilst we worked on the laptop. Love the fact they provide water by the self serve area. The scone was a good size and fresh and they paired with real butter and jam. Would visit again.

Awful. I mean I understand is not a specialty coffee shop but these were my flat whites. I bought one and came like a black coffee with milk, I went and asked for another one but to make it a flat white and not this milky… the other coffee in the picture is the other flat white. I will never come back to buy coffee here. The company is clearly not training the employees. Company to blame. You cannot pay £3-4 to get this.

Usual coffee shop offerings, various coffees and other hot and cold beverages and an assortment of eats. Prices are what you expect from most of these establishments, not cheap but also not scary. Staff friendly and sociable.

Have visited Esquires for several years for coffee as staff were very friendly and offered a great service. Since a recent change in management (may 2023) mainly new staff and the service has deteriorated often getting the order/pricing wrong and the service is much slower than previously. I questioned a sudden price increase and the staff member just said the cost on display was wrong and walked off with no attempt to justification the discrepancy or apologise. The Loylap app gives a history of transactions which confirms the price has increased within last few days.

Updated nov 2023 Since my original review the service has improved and the price has now been restored to the previous level so well done to the staff involved. Stevenage Esquires is currently good value compared to other Esquires shops in the local area who now charge considerably more for...

I would go here frequently and was reasonably priced and would also bring my disabled grandson here for a treat and would use my disabled carers card and get a small discount. Took him today only to find the woman taking orders looked at the card with disgust and said 'we don't take this, what is it?' and gave it back. After spending just over £20 on food and drinks, your prices now are a little steep and with that attitude towards a disabled person I won't...
