We loved everything we ordered! We had chicken ramen, pork belly bento, pork katsu curry (not in photos) and the sushi roll (more pieces than the usual roll from other stores). We only paid less than £40 for all those. We will definitely go back to try their other dishes. There are lego toys and pens&paper to keep little ones entertained☺️ thank you Kombu!

Great food Nice people Best kept secret in Herts Sadly only open Wednesday to Saturday and not in the evenings. Perhaps the indoor market needs new management? Because with a good court withe this quality, it's got as much potential as the rest of the town centre put together. Great food, reasonably priced. You may have to wait for a seat.

Amazing!!!!!!!!!!! I had the teriyaki chicken bento box and the chicken thigh had crispy skin and sweet teriyaki sauce. So good. It came with a vegetable gyoza that were to die for. My sister had a pumpkin bao bun which tasted so homey and tasty. Highly recommend, please go and support this local business

What a special hidden gem! The service was amazing, the young lady who brought our food was extremely sweet, polite and friendly. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented, I honestly felt like I was in a Ghibli film watching the chef prepare our dishes, I couldn’t take my eyes off his meticulous work, the level of detail and attention to each dish. The food was authentic, rustic and charming, it just tasted like he put his heart and soul into each bite. The tempura prawn sushi roll was amazing, the little pickle added such a bright element to the dish and the beef sushi was delicious, I’ve never tried beef sushi before, and I’m so glad this chefs was the first, he has set a high bar indeed! We even decided to order seconds and went with the pork buns, absolutely stunning. It was such a wholesome experience, the chef came over to say hello and he was so sweet, it made me feel so special for him to take the time to do that and I was so happy to tell him how amazing his food was. I came away from this experience feeling so content and cannot wait to go back! Please support this chef and go try his food, you will not be disappointed,...

The tonkatsu ramen blew me away! The noodles were nice were firm but not chewy, the broth was flavourful without being heavy, and the chashu was easily the best I have ever had (even in Japan!). I compare all tonkatsu ramen to that of Ippudo (my absolute favorite ramen outside of Japan) and this was a close second. Not identical but close in terms of it being tasty. The toppings were very simple but good and I didn’t think it needed anything else.

The restaurant staff were super friendly. The only thing I didn’t love was that the market the food court is in is pretty run down and soon becoming obsolete but I look forward to seeing how Kombu can breathe some life to the next place they are moving to. Highly recommend and I will certainly be going...

Tucked away in a corner of Stevenage indoor market, this place serves incredibly good Japanese and Korean food. It’s flash restaurant quality food at half the price. It's even arranged on the plate like you see in expensive restaurants or cooking shows.

If, like me, you are not sure what all the dishes on the menu are, don’t worry, the chef and staff are really helpful and friendly, so it’s a great place to ask and try new things. Very relaxed. I don’t think you can go wrong, everything I have eaten here is great.

The beef is really good quality, you can tell the difference. The miso soup puts high street chains to shame. You must try it. Maki sushi rolls, crispy chicken.. everything is a cut above what you normally get.

I’ll definitely...
