The Old Town Bar — Restaurant in Stevenage

What can I say about this place! The Old Town Bar is one of the best bars in Old Town. With old and new boardgames avaliable to play with if you wish it. The Landlady is very welcoming and always puts a smile on my face, and introducing me to new people. The bar is decorated warmly and in a exciting, yet also comforting style. They host monthly Quizzes and another monthly event too. They are well know for their Beach Party event they hold each year, with the entire pub decked out as if you were on Holliday at the beach with your cocktail or pint. I couldn't get the sand out my toes for a week! It was fantastic fun. The wine is great and they have a few really good whiskies and Gins to try. Lots of options! There is an outside seating area at the back too, some undercover for those rainy days. As well as plenty of inside seating for small groups and more seating that can be pushed together for a bigger group. For a small pub, this place has gone beyond my expectations. A great local pub in the old town area of Stevenage. The staff were very friendly and polite. The beer selection was very good and the beers we had vere very tasty 👍😁 Clean and tidy premises. A good local pub with people playing games, the TV was on in the background. Good is also available. A cosy log fire burning to warm you up on a cold winters evening. Caroline and staff run a terrific Bar. She ensured that all of my family were able to sit together on the Sunday night (10 adults) being thoroughly entertained by the Quiz Master - hilarious. As soon as a table became available on the Saturday to watch the Rugby, again Caroline made us aware of it for myself, partner and brother. What a terrific place.
