It's a reliable place, I've been a few times. The Monday deal with the free dessert is really brilliant.
The standard lounge burger would be my recommendation, it's really delicious and the chips and little side slaw it comes with are good too. Hallumi burger is great too. I tried the new chicken parm burger but wasn't so keen on the tomato sauce, and it got a bit sloppy. Its a nice idea though and the chicken schnitzel itself was very good. I think it could be improved, with less/improved tomato sauce and maybe serving it on the side?
Churros are really good but the sticky toffee pudding wasn't so great. Mexican superbowl is tasty as a lower calorie option but a little small in my opinion. Their home made drinks are good too. Staff are always great and the calorie info, gluten free options and allergy advice are much appreciated. As I say it's a very good reliable place, no wonder it's popular with us chedlians!
That's my opinions on the food I've had here. Would recommend! Also good for a late evening coffee/cake place. If it seems loud downstairs ask if you can go upstairs because it's...
Read moreReally great, relaxed vibe inside and the staff were lovely and knowledgable. Massive shout out to the guy with the tattoos on his arms working on Sunday night - I didn’t catch his name but when he saw my 2.5yr old niece was crying and nothing would make her stop, he swept in and saved the day with crayons and jellybeans! Worked a charm! He really went above and beyond to make sure everyone (especially my niece) was happy and had everything they needed - so a big thank you!!
My family and I were all really impressed with the variation on the menu - there was something for everyone! We had a party of 10 with a few vegetarians and vegans; there was an entire vegan menu with 7 main course options and lots of smaller bites, which is really hard to find in most chain restaurants. A big winner in the group was the jackfruit burger! The food was well cooked and delicious. Nothing bad to say about our evening here : ) Of all the chain restaurants in the UK, I definitely think the Lounges are one of the strongest. There’s a reason why it’s hard to...
Read moreI really enjoyed my experience here. I think I would describe it as a cafe maybe.
The menu excited me before I even entered the building. It's a quirky little place that offers a unique experience toys were available for my toddler. The staff were lovely. Iced water was readily available for self service which is a massive plus for me as I'm often wanting water and find I have to wait for it.
I had a vegetarian breakfast and a decafe tea. On a deal for £7.50.
I'm not a vegetarian, the breakfast just sounded nice and different. It had halloumi and sweet corn fritters and bbq beans which I fancied trying amongst other things. The breakfast was a large portion. I was stuffed!
They have vegan options too and my friend had the Zapato lounge breakfast and said the bacon was really good.
I would definitely visit more often but as it's in town centre I don't often go to the centre so I think you should...
