Charlie's Takeaway — Restaurant in Stockport

Not ordered from here for a while. It has definitely gone down hill . The kebab Calzone was greasier than my grandads bril creamed hair..it was overpowered with garlic and hardly any meat or onions, and no tomatoe sauce that you would expect on a pizza base..i threw the lot in the bin. The chips were like warmed up not fresh. The kebab doner meat was again way too greasy . My son liked his 1/2 lb cheese burger so that is something , but the rest was inedible . The free garlic bread was the best thing. So in all 29 quid down the drain I will never order from here again .The staff are friendly so they got 1 star for that and 1 star for my sons burger . I actually feel sick from the grease . Maybe all the good reviews are from drunk people from the pub over the way, or they have never eaten decent takaway...

Worst kebab ever! Popped in for a kebab last Saturday after a fireworks display, I presume they thought I had been drinking and therefore an easy target! However I was completely lucid. I ordered a chicken kebab which was prepared in a timely manner but after paying the chap was unbelievably dishonest, I should have received £1.80 change, I checked and was only given 80p, I questioned the vendor who had the £1 ready in his hand and handed it over! When I got home the kebab was inedible and went straight in the bin, the naan bread was rock hard and snapped into pieces when attempting to pick up, I tried a piece of chicken which was too salty to eat, I rarely eat fast food but do love a kebab from time to time, I will never darken their door...

I went in, assuming this place was halal. I went in & politely asked, the 2 men behind the counter said yes it was. So as i proceeded to order, a few seconds later a thought occurred in my mind, why was there no certificate or anything to that effect on display? They looked at me like something under on their shoe. The man behind the counter stated rudely and in a very animated fashion quote ….. “ This is not Pakistan or Islamabad ( Im a Turkish muslim BTW) waving flags shouting Islaam Islaam, if you want to order, then order, if not then leave !!! “.
