Linda Lam where do I start

Nearly 12 months ago Linda asked on a group if anyone had a teenager that would be willing to work in one of the most busiest times of the year at her outstanding restaurant Rainbow88, Cheadle Hulme and I offered her my son Ryan.

Linda had met him some years ago when I had taken him for a meal with him being a very fussy eater back then that was a very big part of his Autism anyway… I said to Linda Ryan can most definitely help you with the washing up as she was so stuck at last minute I never thought it would become a little regular thing but it has and it’s changed his life so much 🥹 Linda and her amazing team are now like his best friends & family the support they all give him is something I could never imagine he would have when it comes to his work life.

I messaged Linda about 2 weeks ago saying I wanted to book a table for part of Ryan’s birthday celebrations as he loves and 𝑰 𝑴𝑬𝑨𝑵 𝑳𝑶𝑽𝑬𝑺 her food and she came up with a great idea 💡

She said we all love him here so let’s go all out and throw him a surprise 🥹

He thought he was working last night and Linda had a very large booking for a 18th birthday but to his surprise when he was asked to deliver something to the table all of his family were sat singing happy birthday 🤣🥹 his face was a picture 🤣 He got all emotional bless him

The table was dressed beautifully, party decor was up she even had a birthday gift for him 🥹🥰 The service was outstanding the food was out of this world family members that hadn’t been before (and fussy eaters at that) where amazed with how delicious the food is 👌🏻 with such a large table not one thing went wrong

I honestly can’t recommend it enough 💯%

Back to the wonderful Linda With her busy life she still makes so much time to help others she’s made such a difference to my sons life and went out of her way to give him a fantastic evening

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Rainbow88 for a special event celebrating Tadpoles' 30th anniversary, a wonderful group supporting children with diabetes. From the moment I walked in, I was amazed by the stunning decorations and the warm, welcoming atmosphere.

The staff at Rainbow88 were incredibly helpful and attentive, making sure everyone felt comfortable. What truly stood out were the displays showcasing the impressive amounts they have raised for local charities, along with big cheques in the windows showing their contributions—a testament to their generous spirit.

As we were shown to our seats, I couldn't help but notice the positive vibe in the place. The meal was an absolute delight! I started with chicken and sweet corn soup, which was superbly delicious. For the main course, I had chilli and garlic chicken with egg fried rice—each bite was a burst of flavor.

To top it all off, there was a magician named Magic Dave, who entertained the children and adults alike. His tricks were tailored to different age groups, and he even amazed me with a fantastic trick!

The celebrations continued with a fun game for the group, where I won a £20 voucher for the restaurant and a beautiful Chinese decoration for my home that promises good luck.

As part of their Chinese New Year events, they also performed an amazing dragon dance that added an extra layer of excitement to the night. If you're planning to visit in the next few weeks, I highly recommend you catch one of these performances!

Overall, my visit to Rainbow88 was more than just a meal; it was an unforgettable experience filled with delightful food, great entertainment, and a heartwarming sense of community. My original review from the 8th May is detailed below and is just for the record. Following on from this Linda the owner of the restaurant asked me to contact her and discuss the issues (see thread). This I did and she very kindly listened and was able to resolve the issues very amicably. Subsequently I have had the same takeway meal from here on the 18th May and it was absolutely fantastic (see the attached Photos) and I have no qualms about again recommending this restaurant to family and friends. Once again many thanks to Linda and the team for the great outcome and we will be booking a meal at this restaurant at a future date.
