Been here a few times and its been ok. It can be very heavily oversubscribed at lunch, so if you're in the car it may be worth driving to the hanforth Green or Stanley Green costa stores for quicker service at peak times. In addition, with the delivery service/ click and collect now available, if there are a glut of orders in the queue this can make waiting times considerably longer while staff prepare them (avg 10 mins), which isn't ideal if you're in a rush. Ordered the Quality Street Purple latte. Unfortunately, it seemed more like an americano gone wrong with a very distant taste of the chocolate itself.

Absolutely awful. There was no queue yet I had to wait 15 minutes for our coffees because of a large takeaway order (which should be limited). 3 staff were on the takeaway order and neglected myself and others in the now forming queue. When my coffee did finally arrive, it was on a takeaway cup when I said we were staying in. I asked for a cup and saucer and was only given a cup. My flat white was ruined. Rubbish coffee and dreadful service. Costa needs to go back to basics.

Despite this Costa often being quiet on midweek daytimes, I'm struggling to understand why it's always so dirty and poorly managed. The staff are friendly (and constantly changing which is another sign of bad management), but seem very junior and rarely motivated to do anything other than chat when they're not serving customers. The WiFi seems to work around 70% of the time.

This is by far the worst Costa I have ever visited. I am a regular of the Costa in my area, Bolton, but occasionally I meet a friend at this Costa. On previous occasions I have been disappointed with the speed of service, or lack of it, and the general poor cleanliness of this location. However, today's experience takes the biscuit. Arriving at 10.00 am, every table that did not have a customer at it had empty cups, plates and trays strewn over them. My friend was already waiting to be served ( she had ordered and paid). Some 10 minutes later she received the two Cappuccinos she had ordered. During the time we were drinking our coffees, the tables without customers remained covered in cups etc. At around 10.40 am we decided to have another coffee and a sausage bun each. I went to queue behind 3 other customers. My order was taken quickly and sandwiches placed in the oven. of course, the sandwiches were cooked quite quickly, yet I had to wait a further 10 minutes before it was time for my coffee order to be produced. At this point I noticed the (very slow) barista was using takeaway cups. I said we were drinking inside and she said she had run out of cups. I protested that cups should be available and perhaps it may help if those used ones strewn all over the tables were collected. She responded by saying " do you want these coffees or not". Had I not been with a friend I would have told her what I really thought and asked for my money back. However, I took the coffees and the now Luke warm sandwiches. You may think they were short staffed but no, there was a member of staff who seemed to be in a world of her own, walking around and very occasionally picking up a few used cups from tables. Clearly, washing the cups was out of the question as when we left paper cups were still the order the day. I am appalled by this lazy, poor and rude service. My friend and me will never revisit this...

Stopped here for a coffee with a colleague. Firstly, the speed of service was very slow but we did eventually get our drinks and they were delicious. I also ordered a cheese and tomato toastie, that was tasty too. The 2nd reason I only gave 3* is because some of the tables were closed, obviously due to the Covid 19 pandemic (perfectly understandable) but each of the 3 remaining, indoor seating spaces were still in their used condition. No cups or litter, so the table had definitely been CLEARED but none had been CLEANED. Luckily I had some antibacterial wipes (again the Covid nightmare) so I was able to sort it! I will still return but will be hoping things are worth a 4*...

The worst Costa I have ever had. Ordered a black Americano and a latte to take out. The staff took the order knowing the hot water geyser wasn't working. The latte brought home looked like a white Americano with no froth probably due to lack of steam for the milk from the coffee machine which was unable to heat water quick enough as the geyser was broken.

A couple brought their two coffees back and then, due to a spillage a member of staff was cursing to another staff member whilst customers were waiting.

I have thrown my two coffees away when taken home as they were cold and not as ordered.

Will think again when ordering...
