Prepare to embark on a delightful journey of flavors at Janna, a Lebanese restaurant nestled in the heart of Cheadle Stockport. My recent visit to Janna left me thoroughly impressed and longing for more of their incredible cuisine.
To start off my culinary adventure, I opted for the classic and timeless hummus. Janna's hummus was nothing short of exceptional. The creamy texture and rich taste perfectly complemented the warm, freshly baked pita bread. The hummus was expertly seasoned, striking a harmonious balance of flavors that truly awakened my palate.
Next, I ventured into the enticing Mushroom Bil Zait, a dish that showcased Janna's culinary creativity. The earthy flavors of the sautéed mushrooms, combined with the aromatic blend of garlic, olive oil, and herbs, resulted in a mouthwatering sensation. The dish was beautifully presented, reflecting the restaurant's commitment to both taste and aesthetics.
Moving on to the main course, I indulged in the Mixed Grilled Platter, a true feast for meat lovers. The platter boasted an array of succulent grilled meats, including perfectly marinated lamb, tender chicken, and juicy beef. Each piece was expertly cooked to perfection, retaining its natural flavors while being infused with tantalizing spices. Accompanied by fragrant rice and a selection of grilled vegetables, this dish was a true symphony of flavors and textures.
To conclude this exceptional dining experience, I couldn't resist trying the Baklawa for dessert. The moment I took a bite, I was transported to the streets of Beirut, as the layers of flaky pastry and sweet nut filling danced on my taste buds. The baklawa was delicately sweet, showcasing the pastry chef's skillful craftsmanship and attention to detail.
What truly sets Janna apart is their commitment to providing an authentic Lebanese dining experience. From the warm and inviting ambiance to the attentive and friendly staff, every aspect of Janna exudes hospitality and authenticity. The combination of outstanding food, attentive service, and charming atmosphere ensures a memorable visit.
Whether you're a fan of Lebanese cuisine or eager to explore a new culinary adventure, Janna is the place to be. I highly recommend this hidden gem in Cheadle Stockport to anyone seeking an enchanting and truly delightful...

Not all the food was Lebanese. Don't get me wrong, it was nice food. Kishek was more like a lebne, falafel was not falafel. Mixed pickles were beetroot and olives, Kanafe was more like baklawa. They didn't have makanek as sausages, they gave us a different sausage. Kibbeh was so dry. Salads (tabula and fatoush) need a lot of improvement.
We came for dinner last Friday as 2 families. My husband is Lebanese. This was the first time he tried a Lebanese restaurant in the UK, and we wanted to share this experience with friends who have never tried Lebanese food before. When I called to make the booked, I asked if their chefs are Lebanese- they told me the head chef is Lebanese, the other chefs are Arab. When we arrived, we asked to speak to the chef, but there was no Lebanese chef, and no one from the kitchen came out to talk to us.. this I find weird. It was 5.30pm, and extremely quiet. I've worked in Restaurants in the UK, and chefs have never had an issue with poking their head out and saying hi!
We ordered the Lebanese way - lots of starters, a couple of mains. We asked them to bring the food out as they are ready. I made the instruction clear. They brought all our food out together- even the main! When I asked why, she said the chef told her to bring it. I told her a number of times that the main will get cold, she finally agreed to take them back to...
Read moreVery warm welcome. The restaurant is much better than it was when it was owned previously. Straight away I noticed it was much warmer and had been painted. I was given a menu and explanation of the foods. I then put in a drink order which was quickly delivered. We got given a complimentary starter which was delicious and was lovely breads with houmous, chutney and some olives and other dishes. The main course was very tasty and delivered quickly. I received an explanation of how it's made. The food is really interesting as I haven't eaten much Lebanese food before. I then ordered a sweet which was delightful and something I had not tasted before. There was soft music in thw background. Lovely atmosphere they couldn't do enough for you. We were given tea and coffee on the house. Wonderful. I made a visit to the toilets and found they had been painted and the upstairs was also heated and clean toilets with clean hand washing facilities. Something that is overlooked in orher places. I loved my visit and can't wait...
