The lady manager was very rude to me, Instead of apologising for the delay of my takeaway order. She said there’s no agreement or promise for take away ordering. I should expect the delaying and prepare extra time for collecting. When I called in to order a takeaway, I told the receptionist that I only have 20 minutes not 30 minutes, which's was the time I was initially offered, to collect the food because I need to go to work. The receptionist confirmed with the kitchen that 20mins were ok. When I arrived, the food was not ready. The staff said it would be ready soon. I waited for 5 minutes. The food was still not ready. I waited further 5 minutes, it’s still not ready. I requested to speak to the manager to confirm if it’s really coming or no. The lady manager shouted at me for not being patient. I tried to explain to her that 10 minutes normally are not too long, but not when you try to get to work. She refused to listen and kept insulting me for not leaving extra time. I had to walk away. She told me that she will not want to see me again. I told her I will put on website for other customers to judge it. She said that she doesn’t mind. It’s not the reason to be rude to customers just because the food is a bit better than other Chinese...

I was really excited to try here as a Coeliac who hasn't had a Chinese in a year since being diagnosed; but unfortunately the food was such a let down.

The atmosphere was good and bustling. Both ladies serving were nice. You order off a QR code (i know lots of places do this now, not my favourite, it feels so impersonal to me :(

I had the GF chop suey which looked insipid and tasted it too. The sauce was a very odd consistency and so unbelievably bland. The egg fried rice was nice. My friend had the non GF crispy beef and said it was okay, but also didn't taste of much. This dish was listed as having a GFO and when I asked one of the waitresses what was the GFO, she said Im not 100% sure but I assume its a different sauce. Not exactly reassuring. When asked if the meal was ok to be honest I said yes because I'd waited all day for my food and so did eat it all. The meal was ended with the waitress giving the bill and saying 'it does not include a service charge'. Which was an odd thing to highlight.

Almost £10 for egg fried rice seems pretty high.

Unfortunately I've also been on the toilet numerous times...

On our way to one of our fav local chinese restaurants but it was closed.. didnt want just any chinese food we wanted to enjoy it.. found this place on wim and thought why not.. well.. very very pleased we did.. on entry staff were friendley.. and place is gleaming and up to date.. menu was great and set out perfectly for ppl with allergies too.. drinks and food ordered quickly.. unfortunately the waitor knocked over my drink.. (which isnt a problem) esspecially when im as clumsy as the come !! What was good is that he didnt pic up a fuss and draw attention to the table.. cleaned up.. replaced the drink.. no fuss.. thumbs up!!! Chicken and sweet corn soup is my fav and this one certainly has come tops.. along with the ribs that you could almost see the flavour in the bones.. delishious!!! Mains came out in no time after asking if we were ready!! Also delicious.. flavours and fresh.. Nothing to complain about at all.. amd will defo be bk .. might even be our new...

Had high hopes but we found this place just ok. we dined as a couple and my starter came out 'just' before my wife finished hers. This was only because I walked up to the bar and had to ask where my starter was..... Really can't understand how this is acceptable? The chicken satay skewers sauce is curry sauce with added bits of nuts so just tastes of curry. The main was good but the chicken was a little tasteless. There are no knives and forks. Only chopsticks unless you ask. We were not offered any further drinks and had to wait a while to pay. I think they are trying to serve too many take away orders which makes the restaurant suffer? The door constantly opens and shuts with various people watching you eat from the takeaway queue which you also have to try and squeeze through to get to the loo. Staff were polite so upped it to 2 stars

I am coeliac and haven’t been able to have a Chinese takeaway for a long time. When visiting my sister we found out about Hao Wei, yesterday evening we thought we would give it a go and wow we were not disappointed. I went in person to order so I could check to make sure things would be safe for me to eat (so many GF options available - wanted to check cross contamination etc) the young girl who I first spoke to wasn’t able to answer my questions but quickly found a member of staff who was able to answer all my questions and offer other menu options that weren’t specified on the menu. The food was 10/10 it was so lovely to enjoy a takeaway with my family without feeling like I was eating GF! Thank you Hao Wei! Would recommended 100%!

Lovely restaurant with lots of choices. Key to this visit was the gluten free range of servings. The hot food was served traditionally and with knives and forks if required. The soups where flavourful and thick, with the king prawn in black bean sauce having a kick of red chilli. The character of this new restaurant was modern with an interesting decoration in the toilet of the plans for the restaurant on the wall painted for all to see. If you want prawn crackers you need to ask as they are not automatically offered.
