Oatcake Annies — Restaurant in Stoke-on-Trent

Stopped here today as haven't been in years, to find out it had new owners.

Was hoping for good things as I found the old owner quite rude and abrupt, but the food was always exceptional.

Today however, service was extremely slow, they didn't seem keen to take orders.

Oatcakes are very thin and stretchy, had 2x double bacon, sausage, mushrooms and cheese. The mushrooms were tinned which was a massive disappointment, the oatcake weren't sealed and crisp like you'd expect been done on a hot plate, causing it to completely fall apart when I tried to pick up, ended up squashing all into a mush and eating it.

£10.25 seemed quite pricey for 2 oatcakes.

Went sat first time in a long time as my anticipation couldn't wait I opened the semi wrapped package up to find a art design from a 4 year old my fillings promptly fell out as I picked the stoke delicacy up in my hands with what was left I found rubberised tinned mushrooms and a half soggy oatcake left I had a taste and decided that the rest will go.in the bin I've been too loads of oatcake places and have enjoyed them but these I wouldn't feed...

1st visit today... terrible would be a good word.

Ordered a cheese n beans toastie (like literaly how hard is it to sandwich some beans between 2 rounds of cheese on toast).

What i got was a chewy nasty microwaved soggy sandwich that amazingly was both dry as sand and greasy and tou gave me the privilege of paying £3.80 for it ..

Will not be contemplating going...
