Cardamom Indian Cuisine In Alcester — Restaurant in Stratford-on-Avon

Shocked and appalled by the service received especially having been a regular for sometime. Placed an order, 40 mins later food arrives , I noticed a couple of things were missed off the delivery , so I called them immediately explained the situation to be told I haven't got this on the order hence why they were missing, I accepted that this can happen. I then carried on to discover that few more items were missing from the order as well as an incorrect dish. I then called back and explained how I am bit unimpressed with what has happened to then be told, I didn't order any of things I was missing , yet when asked to tell how much the order would cost originally he went through the order item by item. I asked the gentleman if he had my order in front of him which he did , so I asked him to repeat back , for which he continued to stutter reading the items as well as repeating some items forgetting at which parts of the order not to read . The gentleman carried on to then imply that I didn't pay for the missing items and doesn't understand my problem and he hinted towards me trying to pull a fast one, I explained that I not amused by the fact half of the order was missing and there was an incorrect dish. I was then met with an arrogant response that "we would never make more than one mistake on an order it would never happen" , with the solution to wait for them to come and deliver the missing part the order but this would take another 40 minutes leaving half my order to go cold, he then had the audacity to say if you don't like it then only solution is you can just have money of your next order , like I will be returning after this shambolic display. My friend and I had a lovely meal at the Cardamon, but we felt rushed to order. After our main course we were offered the sweet menu, then it was taken away, we werent asked if we wanted a sweet. Then the hot wipes arrived, then the sweet menu arrived again, along with the bill, we weren’t asked if we wanted a sweet.

When we arrived we were shown to our small round table, that was fine, others side of a small Christmas tree on a table, to give us a bit more space from the next table. Unfortunately the restaurant got busier so the table with tree on was moved into the foyer, making myself feel anxious about the social distancing, which seemed to have gone out of the window. Have I had a anything less than a perfect meal from the Cardamon I would say that their pathia is the best I have tasted, we love trying new dishes each time we visit too The staff are always friendly, welcoming & thorough nothing is too much trouble be it a take away or a dine in we have always with our exception had impeccable perfect service. When delivering to my parents the drive took the time to chat to them & check they were ok my dad who has recently passed away used to have the hottest on the menu ! He loved his curry nights & loved supporting a local business. It’s funny when you think the cardamon have been involved in nearly all my family’s celebrations, it’s a tradition now on birthdays we have a cardamon take away
