Currently on a visit to the town & friends suggested meeting here for tea. Not been for over 40 years so was keen to try it. Sat in the pretty courtyard at the rear of the pub. The interior of the pub was a mix of bar area of olde worlde charm & wood flooring with a lovely lounge area to one side with sofas that looked very inviting. The menu is good selection of basic pub grub but all home made produce & reasonably priced. We all had the lasagne, 1 beef & 2 vegetable served with a crisp mixed salad & coleslaw plus bowls of chips & garlic mayonnaise. All piping hot. Simply the best lasagne I've had in a long while & the chips are divine. Best in Alcester! Lovely friendly staff being the icing on the cake. Highly recommend a visit to anyone looking for good food & prices. Their menus are extensive and they have great veggie options all reasonably priced. Food is hot, tasty, arrives quickly and service is always friendly.
