Nestled in the heart of the countryside, the Buck and Belle stands as the crown jewel, embodying the essence of a quintessential English country pub that seamlessly transports you to a bygone era. The moment you cross the threshold, the crackling warmth of the open fire envelopes you, casting a gentle glow that enhances the rustic interior, setting the stage for lingering conversations and shared laughter. The staff at the Buck and Belle are not just friendly; they are the guiding lights of hospitality, offering a warm welcome and providing insightful details about the menu and local attractions. Their genuine enthusiasm creates an overwhelmingly positive atmosphere, making every visit a memorable experience. Now, let's delve into the culinary delights – the undisputed star is the succulent and juicy steak, a culinary masterpiece that reflects the pub's unwavering commitment to delivering top-notch, satisfying meals. The menu, diverse in options, is a journey of flavors, but the steak emerges as the must-try, each bite a testament to the chef's skill and the pub's dedication to culinary excellence. Enhancing the experience are the pub's recreational offerings – darts, a pool table, and a jukebox. These elements transform the Buck and Belle into not just a place to dine but a vibrant hub of entertainment and socializing. It's not merely a meal; it's an immersive experience where every aspect, from the sizzling steak to the lively games, contributes to the overall charm. To complement the delightful atmosphere and delectable food, the Buck and Belle elevates its beverage offerings with a superb selection of ciders. From traditional classics to unique, the cider section is a journey through orchards and craftsmanship, reflecting the pub's commitment to providing a diverse and enjoyable drinking experience. In conclusion, the Buck and Belle rightfully claims its title as the best pub in the village, earning a solid rating. With its charming ambiance, welcoming staff, succulent cuisine, and an array of entertainment options, this English country pub stands as a beacon for those seeking not just a meal but a complete and immersive experience.

Went here for a birthday meal the week before Christmas. Good choice of food options for meat eaters and veggies/vegans. However the pastry on Mediterranean tart was rock hard, I think it had been sitting on a hot plate for hours. The rest of the meal was good and tasty. Cheesecake as desert would have been better with whipped cream than single cream but was otherwise delicious. There only seemed to be one person serving but we were attended to promptly and not kept waiting despite how busy she was. Interesting pub with nice decor, friendly locals but it was cold. It was actually a very mild day for the time of year but when I left my feet were like ice, no toasty warming fire here!

Fantastic little pub/restaurant in Long Itch village, close to the duck pond. Enjoyed several family get-togethers there and a couple of quick visits with my daughter. Nice food, good beer and top class service. Sometimes lucky enough to have outside entertainment as well.

We organised a supprised Hen do for my sister here. The staff were Amazing!

We hired out the snug and arranged finger food for 10 people which included sandwiches, chicken nuggets, cheese board, salted and roasted peanuts and pork pies! They even made us a cake! There was so much food!!!

We were able to have our own little party by closing off the doors and decorated it accordingly.

As we were having a moderate affair children were attending and enjoyed themselves (there's a public play area just down the lane). Food was piping hot and plenty. Drinks are reasonably priced and a good ale selection.

Staff very friendly and...
