Great service and very reasonably priced. This is a Nepalese restaurant. It’s light, the decor is modern and bright, it’s spacious (unlike some cramped curry houses) and the staff are friendly. We arrived early at 6pm and greeted by a female staff member who informed us they will soon be serving cocktails in the restaurant. All staff members were courteous and concerned with ensuring we were enjoying our time there. We were served promptly. Started with poppadoms and chutneys; rahita, mango chutney and onions. Would be nice to have a lime pickle in there. I had the chicken balti, but my other family had chicken bhoona and chicken shashlik. Food was hot and good portion sizes. Not too big or small and we had enough for a doggy bag! The food was very reasonably priced. Three meals and three drinks came to £45. By the time we left (7:30) the restaurant was busy. Really enjoyed our food there and would return.

Booked in for a birthday meal & wanted to try somewhere new but local. Reading the reviews there was the odd poor review, but that's too be expected. The positive ones far outweighed the negative. So onto the review, we went on a Sunday Evening, restaurant was quiet. Post Xmas/new year so not a surprise. Warm smiley welcome upon arrival and they had kindly put a heater near the table for additional heat. Restaurant was clean and service was friendly. The food was lovely, well cooked and plenty of flavour. Desserts were also good, and rounded off a nice meal with the usual Cobra beer. Atmosphere was nice & pleasant and we didn't feel rushed. We'll definitely be back to try some other items from the menu

Attended without a booking and the staff were welcoming and were able to find us a table. The tables are laid smartly with napkins and cutlery for starters and mains. A hot towel and complementary chocolate offered at the end of your meal. The staff are polite, attentive, and friendly. Despite being busy, our food was delivered in good time and was absolutely delicious. The spices and other ingredients are just right! They sell the usual meals that you would expect in any curry house, but their specialty is Nepalese cuisine. The house special curries are amazing. This has to be the best place in the area to enjoy a curry. We've had deliveries from them too, and never a problem.

Date of visit: 15/9/22

First, it always worries me when I've placed the order and then to be told it will be 10 to 15 minutes.

Second, this must be up there with the worse curries ever eaten. I've seen fab reviews on another review site and bad ones too, so I don't know what others have been eating. All the curries were in a watery sauce, with little flavour. The rum rum chicken was shown as being hot yet was very bland. Temperature wise it was lukewarm.

None of the curries were enjoyable and the chicken pieces were small and overcooked, particularly very hard and difficult to chew.

The directions to the place and car park at the rear were good, and it isn't maintained as they outline. Interior decor is very good.

The oddity is the pricing, see below. Clearly the menu on their site hasn't been updated.

Own Just Site Eat Chicken Bhoona - £5.95 - £7.95 Piro kukhura - £6.95 - £8.95 Chicken Dhansak - £6.25 - £7.95 Rum Rum Chicken - £7.45 - £8.95

Garlic naan - £2.50 - £2.95 Plain Naan - £2.25 - £2.95 Plan Rice - £2.50 - £2.95 Pilau Rice - £2.60 - £3.25

Totals £36.45 £45.90

Paid £40.90

They added 3 poppadoms in the bag with a small pot of raita. I presume that that was free. I certainly didn't order.

I shall not return, and I cannot recommend. The place had been highly recommended by my son's boss.

I just wish I'd taken pictures of the...

Arrived at around 6:15 for our order to not be taken until around 6:40. It then took around 30-45 minutes for the starts to come out in a not too busy resutraunr (around 6 tables with 1 or 2 being big parties).

Whilst waiting I noticed a lot of scuffy looking people walking in and out of the kitchen, 90% of them having long hair and not tied back (bet you can guess where this is going)

The food was OK but very bland. And mostly tasted the same. I then found a hair in my food to met with "oh ok" from the waiter and then walking off.

Upon another 20 minute wait from the table being clearer we finally got the attention of a waiter to request the billl. Upon the bills arrival we were met woth "the card machine is playing up, but there is a cash point down the road". To our surprise there was nothing wrong with the card machine and they were clearly trying to avoid paying tax. Furthermore, there was no consequence to the hair in the food (no discount or even an apology).

Would...
