Ignore the dreadful reviews. This is the third time we have been here and it has always been excellent. How can people say the food is expensive when you can have 2 mains for £15!! Which were well cooked, quickly served and extremely tasty. The desserts were also delicious, particularly the lovely bread and butter pudding. Highly recommended. The portion sizes were good and the quality was about what you'd expect from a Harvester or Toby Carvery but more expensive. The new tenant, who only took over a few days ago, has plans to improve the pubs chequered history. Although it was fairly quiet this is the first time that I have been asked if I was being served 3 times! If you want to make a impression that is how to do it.
