Ā Ā Ā Read moreFour of us dined here having declared my coeliac disease and gluten free diet. Whilst I would recommend this restaurant for a standard or vegetarian/vegan diet, I would say Coeliacs & those requiring a gluten free diet BEWARE! The venue has no separate preparation zone for GF, no separate fryers & I'm convinced they served my salmon starter deep fried & did not tell me of the error....but simply asked me 'are you alright?' when I had eaten half of it. (I had thought they were asking the whole table as the server was over my shoulder). When another member of the party pointed out that the question was addressed to me, I then looked carefully at the salmon & noted that every area of every flesh surface was equally fried/browned rather than what I'd have expected of the shallow fried salmon (in separate oil) that I was assured would be prepared for me. The whole experience led me to believe that there is limited (if any) understanding of what is required to provide food suitable for a gluten free diet. If you're not gluten free then go ahead & eat here. The decor, atmosphere, general service & food are all good. If you're gluten...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAnother wonderful dining in experience at Alishaan by the sea....Great service and excellent food with no complaints from the 8 in our party. Meal portions were massive and mouthwatering when laid in front of me. We all chose from the early bird menu which was a set price but we were able to pay a small sum more for giant King prawns which is my partners favourite. My starter was like a meal on its own! Several of party couldn't finish their main meals so the waiter kindly had them put into take away cartons to enjoy at home. The restaurant don't sell alcohol but do allow customers to bring their own bottles and provided the glasses for us. The early bird menu is Monday to Wednesday and on Thursdays and Sundays there is a special menu. We found booking was easy and restaurant provided a high chair for my one year old grandson who ordered...
