I've just returned from here after going for Mother's Day afternoon tea.
It was lovely. The establishment itself is nicely decorated and for being just a small place there was quite a few tables to fit a number of people.
The staff were pleasant and welcoming and did everything they could to make our visit enjoyable.
Having never had Afternoon tea before I wasn't sure how a few sandwiches and cakes could fill you but I was absolutely stuffed!
The choice of sandwiches we had were egg mayo, ham, tuna, and cheese savoury. We each had a cheese scone and a fruit scone (with jam and clotted cream to accompany it.) Cakes included profiterole, chocolate brownie and a big wedge of cheesecake.
The children were given a kid's alternative of ham and dairylea sandwiches, red velvet cupcakes, rainbow sponge cake and a selection of sweets and crisps.
A glass of orange juice and a hot drink each were included in the cost.
After the kids had eaten they were asked if they wanted to go into the children's corner and have their faces painted, which they happily did!

On the picture for 2 people were 4 finger sandwiches, 4 rolls, 2 cornbeeef pie and 2 quiche, a number of crackers, and 3 types of sweet, strawberry tart, brownie and cheesecake, and 2 scones and jam and 2 teabags. We received, 6 small sandwiches, 2 buns, 2 very thin slices of pie and quiche, 2 crackers and cheese with grapes, 2 orange brownies and 2 cheesecake that fell to bits. The base turned to mush and it looked dreadful on plate. We got 4 scones, 2 fruit and 2 cheese, who can eat or want 2 scones, you want a variety.and no tea bags. Paid £29.90 for what should have been a treat. Ended up doing sausage rolls, pizza and chicken wings to fill us up. You can get an afternoon tea at Morrisons for £10 for two and it puts this £30 one to shame. Definitely won’t order another or...
Read moreVery friendly and welcoming, not able to do enough for you. Even when I went today I was told my company would be welcomed just as much if not more than this time. A place you're very much appreciated every time you go. A friend of mine wants to meet me to learn craft work. I think this would be the best place to go as there's a very large window where all the tables are. If we don't go for our crafts I know it's a doggy cafe too so we're fine to take our dogs with us. As a friend and daughter would like to learn crafts I rang the girls to see if we could spend some time there. I was told we'd be very welcome so please don't hesitate. As I said earlier we've never been...
