Chutney Massala — Restaurant in Tameside

Unfortunately having to give a 1*.

We use Chutney Masala quite a lot, as the food is one of the best in the area but every time we order we have to call up after an hour and chase up the delivery as it's always late. Often it seems the order hasn't even been started and eventually turns up after another half an hour of waiting.

The last order, the driver turned up (about 45 mins late) with no change and after asking if I had correct change or if I could overpay, he fumbled around in his pocket and offered a shrug of the shoulders and left no option but to over pay him with the promise of getting it back 'next time' if I wanted my food.

Never any apology or offer of compensation - which is a real shame as we love...

I was looking forward to my birthday curry from here, 50 minutes late than estimated time, I telephoned was told to wait 5 more minutes, 20 minutes later I phoned again and was told to wait so I informed them to keep it, had to pop out to get takeaway elsewhere, don't recommend, very disappointing, give a proper estimated time, don't lie, people are waiting for food of course they are going to be disappointed when you don't show, I won't order again and I won't recommend you either, remember customer service, I'll be telling people how much of a let down you are, so remember word of mouth affects business. Such lovely friendly staff that go out of their way for you, they simply cannot do enough. Bobby on reception in particular goes out of his way to provide such a great service with a smile 😊 I have tried many of their lovely curries and they are all delicious but I strongly recommend trying the chef’s specialty, the Dhanya curry.. it is simply amazing and one of the best curries I have ever tasted.. an absolute must to try the Chutney Massala in Mossley.for truly delicious Indian cuisine...
