The Rising Sun — Restaurant in Tameside

Really good pub, really poor choice of bar woman. There is a lovely vibe to this place but it is let down by the sullenness of the bar lady, who I can only describe as permanently angry. On entering we were not greeted with a “hello” but a “wear a mask until you sit down”. Charming. On ordering table service she serves you beer like you have just stolen her soul and even seems unclear of the social etiquette of the pub. Terrible wait 30 mins for pizzas only to be told there are no prawns left. Chose something else the table next to s who order 15 mins after us got the prawn pizzas even they said we should have had the pizzas before them, ask how long they would be there in the oven, I said OK be how long I told you there in the oven, so we desided to get our money back. So if you want to order a pizzas wait half hour to be told they haven't got the ingredients then reorder another pizza only wait another 40 mins then this is the place, ignorant kitchen staff, and tables could do with...

Been on Saturday and Sunday I think Saturday was live music on. Sunday was generally quiet food also served shorter hours on Sunday. So as it seems they promote pizza, tacos Andrew burgers I think but only pizza was available while I visited. They have cards where your pick your toppings etc straight forward pizza is great. Tried the house beer as well as stout they where ok. Let's put it this way looks like lively local pub and would stop when travelling around to grab pizza....
