This was the worse Dining experience Iv had in a long time. First of all.. my toast was burnt on my starter. I forgave this and carried on. I then received my fish for my main.. which weren't cooked!! I politely sent it back. Then what I assume was the manager lady came over and instead of just apologising she stated that this is a different type of fish (Iv never heard of) and that this fish is "extra wet". I changed my order to the lambs liver instead. Meanwhile everyone had finished. When it arrived i briefly considered doing cpr in it it was that under cooked it was pooring with blood. Whilst I don't mind steak like this.. I'm sure that liver is supposed to be fully cooked through it's unsafe. The same lady then came over with a partronising attitude and told me it's fine. They charged the bill for all the underdone items I sent back and I had to sort it all out. They made me feel like I was just a moaner but I'm not usually a fussy person but this was inedible. Also my daughter ordered sausage and chips whilst yes it was off the children's menu, she is a child.. but you don't expect cocktail sausages ffs. Enjoy a nice drink in the sun outside lovely surroundings but do not eat here. Garbage! They are advertising for a chef in the window. I...

Its a cozy, welcoming pub. Well run by Stuart and Steph and a great team of Staff that can never do enough for you. Service is always second to none and food has always always been scrummy and i always make the effort to thank the chefs and ive never done that in my life when i go out to eat!!! Its great for singles, couples, families (dogs welcome in the large beautiful garden looking on the canal) Menu has many tastes that will definitely cater to all. The atmosphere is very relaxed has entertainment once a month, gin nights and also curry nights and specials etc... What more do you want!!! Sports of course!! Read moreBeen there before after long walk at the nearby reservoir. Lovely relaxing views of the canal if outside or under the, new for us, "conservatory". Service is very good, very dedicated waitresses.. Nice cold beers and coca colas. What was really bad was the amount of time we had to wait for the food to arrive. That's not the fault of the waitress though. And honestly, don't think any was great. I cannot say how busy it was inside the pub. There were only 4 tables outside. My gammon was a nice piece but sadly, overcooked and very salty. Probably overcooked while other food being cooked. The pies weren't great and the batter of the fish'n'chips wasn't crispy. And the worst, i am sure the peas and the mushy peas were from tins. Lovely chips. Unusually and in the good side again, related to the waitresses, after one round of drinks, we asked for jug of water to share btw 6, and they brought it in a jug with ice and lemon and the 6 glasses, all with a smile. Lovely. I think I would go back bc the position and the waitresses dedication and might try to eat again, just in case it...
