I popped into the Subway at the Erso petrol station in Oldham while filling up, as I was quite hungry and didn’t feel like waiting for dinner. The place was very busy, mostly with delivery orders rather than walk-in customers, and you could clearly see the staff were working incredibly hard. It took a bit of time before my order was taken, but that was understandable.

I went for my usual – a Spicy Italian – but this time as a wrap, just to try something new. The person serving me was preparing it in a bit of a rush, almost recklessly, but I could tell it was because of how hectic things were behind the counter. Despite the speed, they got everything spot on. The wrap was absolutely stuffed, slightly messy, but in the best way possible – I think I actually ended up with more fillings than usual, which was a nice bonus.

The food was absolutely delicious. Honestly, it was a bit of a challenge to eat without making a mess, but I didn’t mind at all – totally worth it. The only downside is that I couldn’t find a toilet anywhere, which would’ve helped since I got a bit dirty eating it. That said, hats off to the team – they smashed it. I visited your store today intending to order a sandwich, and unfortunately, my experience left me quite disappointed. As I began placing my order, the staff member serving me was engaged in a conversation with another colleague and seemed to ignore my attempts to communicate.

When I politely said “excuse me” to get her attention, she responded abruptly with “wait, I’m talking,” which came across as very dismissive and rude. The tone and attitude made me feel unheard and uncomfortable in a situation that should have been simple and friendly.

I believe every customer deserves courteous attention, even during busy times, and I hope staff are encouraged to treat everyone respectfully...

Just reading through the reviews and I’m surprised at just how many 1-star reviews this place has received. I can only provide a review based upon my experiences and to be fair it’s always been good whether ordering in-store or online. Every delivery has arrived quickly and still hot (4-miles away) with the sandwiches having generous portions and toasted perfectly.
