The Canadian charcoal pit Denton — Restaurant in Tameside

This was my first order after receiving a flyer through the door. Website worked well and was easy to use, the only downside came at checkout when I found I couldn't pay by card, the only option being pay on delivery - not a deal breaker, but inconvenient.

Next was the delivery, the driver ended up calling saying he couldn't find my house number; he wasn't on my street and tried to tell me that my street wasn't. On Google maps! It certainly is, and thankfully he was eventually able to find us.

To the food. Pizza was OK, nothing really special, but certainly not bad, although calling it a "stuffed crust" was somewhat overselling it; yes there was some cheese in there, but not a lot. I think the wedges and dip disappointed me the most, they had a weird crispness too them, something like those frozen roast potatoes can have, and the dip was two sachets of sauce that I had to squeeze out before I could dip anything - yes, I know, first world problems and all that, but it wasn't a dip!

Anyway, overall the first experience wasn't enough to sell me on becoming a returning customer, which is a shame, because there are plenty of good reviews on here, so maybe I just caught them on a bad night... We'll never know, this was my experience,...

Ordered a burger, hot dog and chips for delivery. I live 5 - 10 minutes from the shop and after no sign of them turning up after an hour and 5 mins I rang.
