Went in with my son for a quick dinner it was 8:30pm on a Friday night and they refused to serve us said place was closed but they could do a takeaway which I told them it wasn’t really a option for us to get a takeaway as we would have to eat on the street. They didn’t care and ushered me out of door! Worst service ever! I foolishly Gave them another chance, Returned to restaurant to give another go I asked for five mins to look at said menu than was ignored for 18/20 mins my kids were begging for a drink they walked past the man twice asking and he ignored us, I still tried to make eye contact before I gave up and walked out,
Avoid this place especially if your a woman on own with children they treat you like a second class citizen, and have no trouble letting you or ur kids go hungry! Customer service is so so poor! It’s a Shame because there food can be tasty when u can actually get served! It’s not worth there expensive price tags Or poor service, you can get a much better pint and burger and service from any of the pubs...
Read moreAfter reading mixed reviews after the re-opening we thought we would give Brisk a go and see for ourselves. Being regulars at Cucina and Thai pad you know your in safe hands. We had friendly, attentive service from a young lady who normally works in the Thai pad. My partner and myself ordered smash burgers. They were perfectly cooked with a great crust and flavour. My only constructive criticism would be a bit more lettuce and little bit more bacon. The fries, both normal and sweet potato were good and as they now come with the burger represent good value. Maybe onion rings could be added to the menu but do understand the challenges of streamlining a menu and balancing customer wants. The owners always seem to get it right with the various restaurants and am sure they will nail it given a little time. Overall we were very happy today and will definitely go again for the burgers and hopefully try the...
Read moreAlright burgers but they are not cheap. I don't like the atmosphere. The premisis is too small and dark to be decored like a Soviet industrial factory. Service screams minimum wage. The music is the gawd awful worst of 'trendy', it makes me want to get out of there. I rarely like the music in a place but it at least remains in the background and doesn't alienate me. Most of all I hate eating with the smell of disinfectant wafting up my nose and pallet. It's like eating in a well kept public lavatory. Such a shame. With a bit of white paint, some nice lighting, bright comfy chairs, doors so separate toilets and and kitchen, and a bit more radio 2 and a less radio x this could have been a welcome change for Oxted. I've tried it twice, but the atmosphere had been depressing each time. Not...
