Our 1st visit to this establishment in Oxted on 29/12/2024 & what a delight it was. We were seated in upper seating area overlooking the restaurant & it soon filled up. We decided to choose from the Sunday menu on our 1st venture into Japanese cuisine. My wife started with KaisenTempura, mixed fish & vegetables, & I with Chicken Karaage, fried chicken, both with delicious chilli miso sauce. I then had Donburi Chasu Don, Pork Belly with steamed white rice, spring onions, white sesame seeds, pickled ginger & separate miso soup. My wife had Ramen Kubota Shoyu, grilled chicken thighs with seaweed, spring onions, soya based broth & fine noodles. Both our starter & main were lovely & full of flavour. Along with the Red Grenache my wife had & Kirin Beer added to an absolutely lovely meal. We will certainly be returning soon.

We had family lunch during half term and I had been waiting to try this restaurant after hearing so many good reviews. Lunch time was set menu plus sushi only. We had Tonkotsu (pork) ramen, chashu donburi and chicken teriyaki donburi. The food was delicious and the ramen was very authentic, I think it had bonita fish flake or stock in. The set menu came with a drink each so we actually spent less than we usually do in Wagamama and we got higher quality food as well! We were very impressed. The restaurant was very busy and we didn’t book but they accommodated us straight away and we got a booth table. We would need to go back for dinner to try dishes from the rest of the menu!

Had heard from many this place has great food and we were not disappointed. From the outside the view of the place is amazing. And once you walk in all the staff are friendly. For starters we ordered Veg Tempura / Pop Corn Shrimp / Sojin Maki Rolls / Salmon & Avocado / Kinjo Maki Rolls. For dinner Chicken Teryaki Donburi to share and for dessert we had the delicious Salted Caramel ice cream with biscuit crumble! ALL we ordered was yummy and would love to go back to try their other dishes. We love spicy food so their chili oil is a great addition to the side sauces. Definitely recommend all to go here.

My recent visit to Kinjo with a group of 5 gentlemen was nothing short of amazing. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Graham and his attentive staff. The service was exceptional, and they went above and beyond to ensure that we had a fantastic dining experience.

The atmosphere at Kinjo was perfect for our group, with a cozy and inviting ambiance that made us feel right at home. The decor was stylish and modern, and the attention to detail was evident throughout the restaurant.

As for the food, it was absolutely outstanding. The wide variety of Japanese cuisine on the menu was expertly prepared, with an emphasis on fresh, high-quality ingredients that were bursting with flavor. The sushi, sashimi, and tempura were all exceptional, and the presentation was simply beautiful.

In conclusion, I cannot recommend Kinjo enough. The attentive staff, cozy ambiance, and exceptional cuisine make for an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you're looking for a romantic dinner or a night out with friends, Kinjo is the perfect choice. Thank you, Graham, and all the staff at Kinjo for an...

Went for dinner on a Friday night with 2 friends. When we arrived the restaurant was absolutely packed, our table was the only empty one! Although it was very noisy, staff were very attentive but not invasive. They took our coats upon entry, explained the menu to us, told us in advance when the kitchen stopped preparing certain dishes and took great care of us all night despite the building being at capacity. We ordered everything at once and the smaller dishes arrived first; things like maki rolls, assorted skewers and agemono dishes. It all arrived very quickly, was presented beautifully and tasted incredible. Next came our main courses; items from the robata grill. I splashed out on the Japanese Wagyu which was delicious. My friends had the cod and teriyaki chicken with some of the truffle rice - all of it excellent. Finally the desserts and in keeping with everything else, these were great, well presented and a lovely way to cap off the evening. We all left extremely satisfied with every element of our evening and we are already planning to return...

Had a wonderful early evening meal in Kinjo midweek and also visited subsequently on a buzzy Friday evening. The waiting staff were so friendly and very knowledgeable in terms of what on the menu could be made gluten free, even bringing GF soy sauce to the table for my rice. There are surprisingly good options - Japanese cuisine is usually avoided by me in view of how GF heavy it is. The teriyaki chicken bowl was tasty but I do think something..maybe the teriyaki sauce was not gluten free as I had some reaction in my joints so the 2nd time I went I ordered sashimi, the black cod and broccoli. All dishes were absolutely delicious and I already want to return to eat those again. My family all had the donburi bowls and with the addition of gluten they looked really good and got thumbs up. Another star dish was my son's octopus. The service was excellent, prices were very reasonable given the quality of the food and how good the service is. We will...
