Today I had the worst experience in this place. I popped in with my husband and my 7 months baby, asked for a decaf latte and a normal latte, both with hazelnut syrup, a carrot cake and a cup croissant with nutella. We wait so much for the drinks and the young lady forgot about the cake and the cup, which I received without a spoon or a forkš, I am wondering if she eats cakes without cutleryš¶. Moreover I received two drinks which was more like water with milk, no coffee taste, no syrup, I asked the young lady to add more syrup, she added but unfortunately the latte tasted like nothing, I am pretty sure that she did not make the coffee shoots properly and the latte receipe was not respected the result being two lattes looking like water with milk. I paid around 8Ā£ for lattes and this time I waste money for nothing, my husband was so nervous and he preferred to stay calm and not comply. Unfortunately due to this situation I will never drink my coffee in Costa Caterham, other times I received good service and good drinks and twice before this day it happend to receive a wrong done latte but I considered that maybe the staff is new and is an unique situation but seems that it is not, the reason being that the staff it is not correct trained and the recipes are...

Initially, the young lady who served me was very nice when I asked if I could possibly sit upstairs - could they please allow customers upstairs as it was closed off: I explained that there was no seating downstairs.
Although there appeared to be many staff, the duty manager said, āNo, sorry, we donāt have enough staff.ā Wgen I was given my tray a young staff member said he was new but I could see he wanted to help me find a seat. It was then whilst I was waiting at the bottom of the stairs that the duty manager decided to open up the first floor.
I own a service business and was shocked at the initial customer service received. There were many families and older persons in the coffee shop who Iām sure would really appreciate having a seat upstairs. Please think of...
Ā Ā Ā Read morePopped into Costa this afternoon, after an appointment at my daughters school. I ordered a decaf, soya mocha, sparkling water & a fresh banana. I often pop in for a change of scenery whilst writing my latest article or when I am updating my blog. The service was delayed, but the male member of staff who served me was extremely apologetic. I am disabled & the same Male member of staff kindly carried my tray to my table, apologising all the way. Unfortunately, I didnāt catch his name, but he was the only Male on duty & was so helpful, polite & accommodating. The whole place was slammed & every table was full. Only three members of staff were on duty & I think they did amazingly to cope with such a huge influx of customers. Their customer service didnāt waver once.
