Why does no one seem to care what they’re eating? Just Google ‘Maltodextrin’. Maltodextrin is a white powder made from corn, rice, potato starch, or wheat. Even though it comes from plants, it's HIGHLY PROCESSED. That’s just one loaf, so who knows what the other products without labels contain. Artisan?! I don’t think so. That involves skill and these cakes, doughnuts and loaves are all being made up in a factory and shipped to store. Look I get it, business is expensive, but don’t pretend to be this caring local bakery since 1937 with artisan products. I am very happy paying more money if it means properly made. I just wish someone would open up a proper independent bakery/coffee shop in Lingfield. I gave 5 stars for service because the lady behind the till was very pleasant and it’s not her fault the products are rubbish. 😂

This chain company have the audacity to describe themselves as an artisan bakery, and boast 'handcrafted' products. Everything in the shop was generic and seemed to be full of additives, colouring, palm oil and the like, I mean just the bottom of the range Food Shaped Objects, most of it just made in a factory somewhere, and wrapped in vast amounts of plastic and trucked in. Even the ingredients list on the hot cross buns was pretty horrifying. Not a proper bakery at all, didn't dare try the bread, I imagine it tastes like the industrial foam 'bread' they sell in the supermarket . Staff friendly but clueless. If you want a REAL bakery try Sussex Kitchen or Cyrnel Bakery (products sold at The Seasons and other outlets) .

Visited here today c1400. They have given themselves the title of an Artisan barker. Bacon was rock hard and dry, i bought a soup (wanted tomato and the pots were on display but no tomato) they served the other option and it was luke warm almost cold. I purchased the shortbread and because I was in a rush I forgot to read the ingredients but looked nice (impulse purchase) Sat down tonight to eat one and it was shocking no real flavour just sweet dry and hard. I looked at the ingredients and for an artisan bakery they don't even use butter! Just all the bad oil and E numbers. Going to feed the birds with it in the morning. Cornish pasty was dry but hot. Would not recommend this place
