A Filling Filling Returning towards London after a meeting and looking out for some kind of lunch, spotted a neat looking cafe/restaurant and raced inside. Not hungry enough for a huge plate, I went for a chicken sandwich whic surprised me by being escalope in breadcrumbs sliced and layered in between the very acceptable, moist white bread when I was (for no particular reason) expecting roast slices! It came with a few crisps and a petite side salad garnish. Using the facilities which were spotless and fresh (eleven out of ten for that), I spotted an classic English beauty and just had to have my way with that Victorian lovely: delicious! I washed down two very different sandwiches, one chicken and one victoria with a cup of tea and considered the £7.40 total cost very reasonable. They were so lovely and friendly in there. They gave my kids some marshmallows and took their time and told them about the race horse (because my kids are into horses).
