Been for a family meal here twice. First time was okay, decent steak, chips where shop bought. Everyone seemed happy with their food, service was pretty decent too. Prices are average.

Gave it another try today and it was very disappointing. Started out great, getting drinks in but after that the attention to detail was awful. Menus booklets without menus. Then the order was taken completely wrong. They brought out 7 mains for 4 people, we had confirmed the order but the waitress aggressively defended us ordering so many meals. Very confusing and completely put us off our food. Didn’t bother to check if we’d like any more drinks. And then my daughter really wanted a dessert, we asked for the menu twice and then gave up and left. Disaster!

Acceptable level of quality, some meals overpriced when comparing ingredients to other meals , steak not sold by weight as far as I noticed and overpriced at £18.95 for rump unless it was 12oz. All starters priced around £6.50 regardless of content suggesting price more related to rounding up gross profit than adding a percentage to cost and labour. In particular parsnip soup seemed to include curry powder or turmeric and almost certainly sugar. The Beef Lasagne also tasted of sugar reminding you that when eating out the chefs choice of seasonings can help disguise poor ingredients. The waterfront at Harwich is our favourite eating house in Area 😊 . Recently we had our 60 th birthday Celebration in the main Hall . The Venue , The Service , The staff , The food was just great . After attending somebody else’s party at the venue and enjoyed it knew it was the place for ours . After booking the Venue and the whole booking experience we found Charlie and the team Just great 😊 We could not of wished for a better evening & each time I meet up with friends & Relatives we still laugh & Talk about the great night .
