Today was absolutely wonderful! I set out to find a town near home with a strong sense of community, and Tewkesbury immediately captured my heart. Every person I encountered greeted me with warmth and smiles, but the highlight of my day was definitely my visit to @salernostewkesbury.

I decided to grab a tiramisù to go, mindful of my little dog who feels uneasy in crowded spaces. Upon meeting the owner, I was instantly drawn to learn more about his Italian heritage. Despite the bustling atmosphere, he took the time to chat with me and graciously gifted me the most exquisite tiramisù I've ever tasted in the UK – a gesture that truly made my day unforgettable.

In my 11 years in the UK, never have I experienced such genuine kindness and hospitality from an Italian establishment. It wasn't merely about the food; it was about the owner's genuine warmth, spontaneity, and honesty that left a lasting impression on me.

This encounter served as a powerful reminder of the profound impact small acts of kindness can have in a world often overshadowed by grand gestures and systemic issues. I'm immensely grateful to the lovely owner of Salerno restaurant for restoring my faith in humanity and making me believe in a better world, where pure acts of kindness prevail over hidden agendas.

Well well well … another fantastic restaurant found and I can’t praise this place enough.

Exceptional staff and service - As soon as we walked through the door we were made welcome, very polite staff took us to our table and actually let us choose between three tables.

Exceptional food - Up there with the best Italian restaurants I have visited in my lifetime, I always go for a lasagna on my first visit and try and compare with others that I’ve had, this was by far THE BEST lasagna I’ve ever had, portion size , taste, and presentation 10/10 … we also had calamari , caprise salad for starters and a fish linguini , all in all cooked to perfection.

There is a good choice of drinks from cocktails, wine and beers to soft drinks 👍

I found that this restaurant is up there with the best, excellent value for money, the standard of food is superb and the staff and service was exceptional. (The restaurant itself was very comfortable too)

We thoroughly recommend this restaurant to couples and families and we will be coming back again when we are in the area.

Salerono is a beautiful restaurant run by Lupo who is an actual Italian with a passion for the best food and service, and it shows. The food was absolutely first class and the restaurant was full which is testament to the quality of food and service. What a fantastic atmosphere people were happy and laughing, truly amazing. Starters, mains, deserts (omg the mango topped Cheesecake is so light and fluffy), and the drinks quality exceptional (we had wine and cocktails). We were served mainly by Jack who was smiling, professional and efficient. There were many servers covering this buzzing restaurant, and the smiling kind owner Lupo had enough time to chat and share his story (we asked).
